Yeah i choose to re-do Sally the forge keeper. The setting for this is just before she got her metal arm, so the scares on her right arm are from something else. And her son was picked to be sent out into the Frozen Glade, a dark forest that is know to drive even the strongest or bravest of men mad and those who enter never come back, less the gods show mercy and send them back alive, even then only one or two return home.

It's a savage tradition on her terra but it's how the next Chef is choosen. It's cause this that many women on the terra pray for daughters, for they are never sent into that evil place, for without them the villages would die.
