Thank you Sony Mae for making a Top 10 Werewolves meme.First Ghosts, then Vampires, now for my top 10 werewolves
Now, I'm more of a ghost and vampire person, but I do have enough space to fit in 10 'children of the moon'
Now on with the list
10. Fruit Brute (General Mills Cereal Mascot):
You have to feel sorry for this guy seeing as his cereal didn't last long (it was discontinued in the early 80s I think). Fruit Brute had to face competition with the reigning king of the monster cereals (no other than Count Chocula). Nevertheless, he will always be remembered. Plus I've seen some funny commercials with him, Frankenberry and Count Chocula on youtube (here's one XD : [link] )
9. Remus Lupin (Harry Potter (C) J.K Rowling)
Now, I'm not really a HUGE potter fan (as I've only seen movies 1 to 5 and read books 1 to 4 AGES ago), though I do enjoy it
Remus to me is one of my favourite side characters in the series. We first get to know him in 'The Prisoner of Azkaban as the 'Defense Against the Dark Arts' teacher who teaches kids how to deal with Boggarts and though his werewolf form is not the best werewolf in the cinema, it still manages to be rather creepy and menacing (unlike the wolf form of Mr take-his-shirt-off from SOME 'Saga' which is supposed to be taken seriously, but sadly can't be -_- )8. Claud Wolf (Monster High (c) Mattel )
Ok, you think its strange that I put a character from Monster High in here, but I simply can't help but feel that Claud is one sweet werewolf- ESPECIALLY after watching the Valentine's day episode 'Why do Ghouls fall in Love' He tries his best to please Draculaura, knows what's best for her and has genuine love, unlike, to quote Frankie Stien, 'Mr Heartbreaker-who-is-faker-than-a-Vampire's tan.')
7. Winnie (Scooby Doo and the Ghoul School (c) Hannah-Babara)
One of 2 female werewolves who will be making this list. Phantasma may be my favourite Ghoul School girl, Winnie's pretty cool too. Sure her howling may get annoying to some, but she's pretty cool in her own right
6. The werewolves of 'Van Helsing' (c) Stephen Sommers
OH YEAH! Now we're talking. Van Helsing to me may not be my favourite 'Monster Mash' type movie and was only.....alright in my opinion. BUT I can't deny- it has one of the BEST designed werewolves EVER in Cinema history. Plus, when they attack someone, you REALLY want to run. JUST PLAIN BADA** .
5. Weregarurumon (Digimon Season 1/Adventure (c) Bandai)
Talk about awesome. He may not be my all time favourite digimon, but he IS one of my all time favourite Ultimate stage digimon. I've always enjoyed seeing him (and Garudamon) fight off the antagonistic digimon in the show in the first season. Not to mention, he was the only ultimate stage digimon who could hold is own against Myotismon for a LONG time (until Myo used his Crimson Lightning that is). If I EVER get 'Digimon World: Dusk' for my DS, I'm definitely getting a weregarurumon (and a myotismon since not all of them are evil) on my team.
4. Wolfie (Casper's Scare School (c) Moonscope)
Hands Down, one of the CUTEST cartoon werewolves in the media.
Like I said, while I'm more a fan of the 1995 Casper film, thanks to some people on dA who introduced Scare School to me in 2009/2010 or so, in my mind, CSS is a cute guilty pleasure- especially some of its characters Wolfie is sweet and clever, but do NOT make him mad- especially during the full moon (OH YES, when he turns vicious, he's VERY VERY vicious as seen in some episodes)
3. Lucian (Underworld 'Rise of the Lycans)
I may only have seen 'Rise of the Lycans' but boy do I feel for this guy. Being enslaved by a vampire overlord, falling in love with a female vampire, having seen her murdered before his eyes.....poor guy.
2. Ginger Fitzgerald (Ginger Snaps (c) whoever directed it)
The 2nd female werewolf you'll be seeing here. Ginger is proof that even FEMALE werewolves can be as vicious and deadly as thier male counterparts. Not to mention, her film and her transformation is a metaphore for 'coming of age'- a reminder that us girls DO have our vicious sides around that stage.
AND the number 1 werewolf is:
1. The Huntsman (the Company of Wolves by Neil Jordan and Angela Carter)
Now if there is ONE werewolf that ANY aristocratic vampire in the media would have competition with when trying to seduce a girl, THIS GUY would be it. The Huntsman of 'A Company of Wolves' is sort of the main 'bad guy' in Rosaleen/Red Riding Hood's Dream. He can be described as a cross between an idea 'prince charming/huntsman who saves red riding hood and the Big Bad Wolf. Which is VERY fitting seeing as in some early versions of Red Riding Hood, the wolf wasn't just a talking, anthro-ish wolf, but a werewolf.
A huge bonus is that his film is a reminder that nothing is what it seems (werewolves can even disguise themselves as nice and seemingly harmless men and maybe women to get their prey) and that innocence is eventually lost as we grow older (again, like with Ginger Snap's theme) .
Some Triva: 'The Company of Wolves' was directed by 'Neil Jordan, who later went to direct 'Interview with the Vampire'- who starred Tom Cruise as Lestat aka. My all time favourite vampire
I'm Roses-and-Feathers, and the Huntsman from 'A Company of Wolves' is my favourite Werewolf of all time.

good list, wolfie is adorable, he is one of my favorites werewolves, also i like john talbain from darkstalkers he is a very powerful werewolf fighter, in darkstalkers all the fighters are monsters.

9. I know you're not a Harry potter fan, but I think Lupin is pretty cool. The only downside is that is werewolf form isn't the coolest werewolf in the media though, but still REALLY creepy (PS: the guy who turns into a mouse in the vid is Peter Pettigrew, a criminal wizard) : [link]

3. I've only seen 'Rise of the Lycans of all the underworld movies, but Lucian's story was so sad. The underworld films have that vampire/werewolf wars and explain why they are enemies. Lucian falls in love with one of the female vampires, but sadly, her father (viktor, the vampire king) kills her before his very eyes 
1. The Huntsman is my FAVOURITE werewolf of all time- plus he's from myfavourite werewolf film of all time 'The Company of Wolves' (the same film where the witch turns people into wolves). If anything, this is one werewolf that some media villian/seducing gentleman male vampires would have competition with when trying to seduce a girl playfully. He appears like a charming gentleman to Rosaleen/Red Riding Hood when he first mets her as seen in the clip below you here), but later in the film, his wolfishness is revealed, particularly when he reaches her granny's place first [link]
