The only suggestion I can make is, watch your hands in the future. I know India ink, so there's no way to go back and play with them now. Do you use a model or reference photo? Anyway, that's all I can think to criticize. This is hilarious!

Thanks for the comment! This was the result of a quite fearless attempt to draw him. And the expression on his face ... I was quite pleased with.
His hands ... I drew them at different angles ... one you are looking at more from the side and the other more a three-quarter view I guess you could say. Is that what looks weird? Or is the first finger too long?
I did use a reference pic for the placement of the feet.

I do so love his face. He looks like a little kid denied something he wants--Christine, Box Five, Christine, his "wages", and Christine, perhaps?
It's more that if his arms were crossed, the hand on the left would probably be tucked in under the arm. As is, it just looks like it's hanging. You drew his hands just fine! I was just wondering if you were looking at someone with odd habits for arm-crossing. ^_^

Yep, Erik (at least in this pic) has weird habits of arm crossing and doesn't tuck one hand under his other arm or grip his upper arms with his fingers like most people would.
It just seemed like such an Erik thing to me!
Yep, he definitely looks like the LerouxErik who almost pouts when he is denied what he wants. Remember him calling the Persian a 'booby' and him whacking his heels against the boat at the same time! Such childish actions!
Oh, and I can't say enough how much I enjoyed your last pic of Erik and Christine and the mirrors ... Sigh!

Okay. I was wondering about his arms, but now that you've explained it--it makes sense. This is a bit scary. Now I can't find any weakness in this, and that's...not right, is it? There must be something, but there's not! My rug has been pulled out from under me, and I see the world with new eyes: there is a possibility for artistic technical perfection while still maintaining true emotion. *spreads arms wide* *is at peace with the world*

Well, then. Er. Moving on, I know, I love Leroux!Erik so much. There's nothing really of the sheer magnetism of Kay!Erik or the actual, believable raw emotion of ALW!Erik, but he's adorable. He reminds me of Gollum in more than a few ways, actually.
Thank you for the pretty thoughts on that latest! I actually spent more than a day on it, which is more than a bit unusual. I was so angry about how most of the faces didn't turn out right that *I* was about to go find a random boat to kick, but if the public-at-large remains pleased with the result, I'll swallow my pride! ^_--

Yep, LerouxErik IS a lot like Gollum in so many ways, except Gollum was never quite redeemed. I loved how you captured their personalities ... KayErik is very magnetic and ALWErik has raw emotion. Sigh ... mmm, Erik!

Currently working on an E/C pic of my *own* Phantom characters. On first sketch ... may need to do another one to get the pose right. This one may have a stained-glass window in the background, with hopefully a Photoshop-ed color version as well. Very romantic and sad.
