Also known as "DΓ₯rlig Ulv Stranden" in the series Doctor Who. It took ages to walk up this bloomin' hill, so I hope you like the shot!
This is Southerndown Beach on the south coast of Wales.
The one good thing about being up really high, is that the people on the beach are almost invisable..almost. I plan to go back when its a LOT colder so that there wont be any people there, so that I can get decent photos on the actual beach.
This is a part HDR photo...if you want to know what I mean then message me as I don't wanna fill this space up even more...

Hehe yeah! It is really beautiful on a sunny day. Even on a gloomy day it is amazing,especially since it is mainly sad memories for the Doctor!

Oh yeah, I have to agree. I probably would start to cry standing on this beach on a gloomy day just because of the memories the sight would wake in me. The scenes on bad wolf bay are just my favorites.

Definitely worth your walk. This is very pretty. Love the colors and the brightness! Love the movement of the sea and those weird rocks. Amazing picture.

hmmm.... i think im going to have to put this place in my list of places to go before i die xD it looks so pleasant, like the perfect place to juss go sit on the edge of the cliff and think xD

coool!! I recommend it! It's quite a bit of walking up the cliffs but the view is pretty awesome! But beware, dont get to close to the edge, the cliffs are crumbling. When you're on the beach you can see a lot of rocks with cracks in them, and over hanging rocks which look like they will crumble any second. so beewwaarrreee! lol

ah yes, miss austalia! I remember now! I can't remember how I meet people sometimes lol, I started off with only a few watchers but the dr who stuff got me loads, but inbetween I had the odd one or two non-dr who people, so didnt know if you were one of them. I remember now, so its all good!

yep! It's actually called Southerndown Beach and is situated about 40ish minutes away from me in Cardiff (capital of wales where they film dr who). So they just renamed the beach for the series. I want to go back there when its colder, because there were too many people on the beach to get good shots whilst on the sand. So when its colder hopefully there will be less people and I can recreate shots from the series.

yeah! well the plan was to take my costume with me and just do a pose or 2 on the beach if theres not many people. I hate attention from people! There can be some mean people out there..but also some amazing people like yourself...a doctor who fan!!!!!! whoo

yeah I like to explore, But i mean when I dress up, I dress up to get the pic and then de-dress as soon as im done. When I went to bad wolf bay, i wanted shots on the bech but there were far too many people there. So i decided to walk along the full length of the hill/cliff...which was SUPER tiring, wore me out!! But i go a lot of decent pics. When the tide came in I went onto the rocks because the people had gone, and i got soaked by the waves, but got some cool shots lol

AHHH! So cool! *tries to contain fanatic joy* I shall bestow the honor upon myself to thank you for working hard to get this shot. I'd say it was worth it, because it caused a 'That's brilliant' expression to my face just from looking at the pic.

haha nope, if you remember in the episode where he is a hollogram and finds Rose on the beach just before he fades away, she says the name, and the Dr thinks she said Dalek, and she corrects him. I thought I was Dalek, but I checked up on it

yeah it does look a bit like the outside scene. I know the inside of the building (reception area of new earth) was inside the millenium centre on cardiff bay
