I kept the old one updated for a long time, but it seemed like everyone lost interest in it. It is very hard to continually update the skins when it seems no one cares. So as long as there is interest in the skins, I will do my best to keep them updated.

hey this skin isn't that nice, sorry. it has a lot of small anoying problems, like text coming out of the buttons area, it doesn't work with Steam Community tab, few options on Steam preferences are not accesible.

I'm not using an english version of Steam, this seems to be the problem.

Actually, I don't think it is the language that is the problem. VALVe sees fit to continually change the interface, adding new sections (like the Steam community stuff), and I don't have time to update the skins. Until VALVe releases some new, interesting games, I see no reason to tweak the skins every week. Eventually, once there is something worth using Steam for again, I will probably fix the skins.

You open the SteamScheme.res file in a text editor (i.e. Notepad) and edit the images in an image editing program.

Just wondering, I made skins for Steam 1.0 I guess you would call it and never made any skins after they changed the interface. I used ilovesteam's program back then to make my skins. Is there anything like that for Steam 3.0?

Nope. You have to do all of the coding by hand and make all of the images on your own.

This is very nice , I play AA so don't use steam but if I did......
I only have one criticism , but it's personal taste so no biggie.
I don't like the blue , to me it does not blend in nicely, but then again I think the same thing about all vista type themes out there includeing the original.(ignore me I am in the minority)

I have been working on several more color schemes for it, but I have been way too busy to make much progress. Right now there is a HL2 Gordon themed one (primarily orange), a Combine (B&W) one, and a red one. Eventually I will be able to finish them up and release them.
