Spent another 4 hours on her today, so I'm up to about 22 hours.And for that young person (you know who you are) who is probably thinking "just finish it and upload the drawing already, nevermind all these stupid WIPs" this is me -->

A2 bristol board
4H, 3H, H, HB, 4B, 9B graphite pencils
and 4 blue and a dark grey (to give the plaits more depth) Caran d'Ache supracolor soft pencils.

Only the blue hair bits are coloured pencil, the rest is graphite pencil.

thanks, yeah the most difficult part about it is the lack of detail as the ref pic is only 400 x 600 res and I'm drawing it on a big A2 sheet.

isnt it hard, drawing so big, i tried it once on a realy big piece and i lost sight of how big everything had to be... so i had to look from a distance to see if i was still on the right track^^ (but here im talking about a huge piece, 6 A4 s orso) dont want to right a whole story here sooo,,,

it is quite hard yes...I seemed to get focused on an small area and not be able to see the big picture so to speak...I think that's why it helps doing the wips on here 'cos I get to see it smaller and that's when I notice things I don't like I can change them the next day.
