Hair Tutorial Ideas NeededSo I'm making a hair tutorial...
I'm hoping y'all can help me flesh out an outline for it. I'm doing it in 3 parts, 2 if I can somehow swing it. I'm long-winded and have a lot to cover lol. At the moment, these are my plans:
Part 1
A full walkthrough of creating a mane/tail, including brush settings, how to choose colors, how to paint the hair, and how to light it/define it afterward. I plan on doing long, thick hair that is all going downward (versus suspended in air from movement). It'll be a solid color that is not white or black.
Part 2 & 3
Will cover...
- How to make the tips a different color than the rest of the hair.
- How to make certain hair patterns, including overlapping segments and curls/spirals. Not sure about what else is needed.
- How to branch your hair off of a quirlicorn-style tail (as seen inΒ Glimpse of Gold,

Absolutely stunning work, as I see someone else has also already said. The colors here are dramatic and immediately eye catching, and the mane/feathering has a wonderful painterly touch to it, while at the same time not standing out too much from the photo edited horse body. The amount of blur in the background, and strength of the ripples in the water, are both perfect.
