Description Regions transported: Russia (Omsk oblast), Kazakhstan (eastern regions), Kyrgyzstan, Bhutan, Bangladesh, British Indian Ocean Territory

The central Asian steppes were transformed by the event both physically and politically. The Aral Sea, restored to its full extent was once again fed by the waters of the Amu Darya and Syr Darya and the grasslands were once again open, allowing those Kazakhs who wished to revive their ancestors' nomadic lifestyle to rapidly spread out in all directions. Their Russian countrymen soon followed in the Kazakh footsteps, with many moving north to boost Omsk's population and cementing ties between the Russian republic and its larger southern neighbour which would eventually see Omsk operating in many ways as an extension of the Kazakh state.

In some ways paralleling Kazakhstan's new freedom to expand across the steppes, Bangladeshis quickly embraced the newly wild expanses of the Indian subcontinent, migrating up the Ganges and Brahmaputra rivers as well as around the coasts of the Bay of Bengal such that its name became a statement of intent. After a few decades, the great Indus river as well as the smaller rivers of Deccan and southeast Asia began to see waves of Bangladeshis setting up home along their banks. The population boom however outpaced Dhaka's ability to provide the necessary infrastructure, leaving many of those in the upper Ganges and Indus to feel abandoned by their government and seeking to take control of their lives. Thus, the new nation of Gangadesh was proclaimed, promising to deliver the services and infrastructure improvements the Bengali government had failed to provide and by shear force of numbers Gangadeshi independence was secured. Bangladesh on their part took the episode as a lesson, granting limited autonomy to the Indus valley region, known as West Bangladesh. Whether this will be enough to prevent a further rebellion is not yet clear however.

Between Kazakh and Bangladeshi worlds, Kyrgyzstan had been busy repopulating the Ferghana valley, and pushing south into the Hindu Kush, hoping to take control of the wild groups who had fled the strife in Gangadesh and West Bangladesh to establish a trade and communications corridor under full Kyrgyz control. All of this has been watched from the side lines by the US from their base in Diego Garcia, wary of further potential conflict in Bangladesh.
