Powers/abilities: Dusk doesn’t have any special powers or magic abilities, but he is very skilled in close range combat. He carries a lot of speed and power when fighting, his speed and power almost match, but speed definitely takes the crown. His flexibility really helps in close combat too (able to perform high kicks, twists, backflips, quick dodging etc). He also carries a pair of black ebony daggers that he hides in his boots anywhere he goes. He never uses the daggers for killing purposes. He uses them for intimation, defending himself and others, to disarm/distract opponents, and uses them to help himself climb (buildings, walls, trees etc).

Health: Dusk’s health physically is great, but mentally is another story. He suffers with insomnia, caused by being born with a chemical imbalance in his brain. He also has bad anxiety and PTSD.

Personality: Dusk is definitely an odd guy for sure, not odd in a sense that he’s weird, but mysterious. When you first meet the guy, he is very extroverted and energetic. He has no problem walking up to a complete stranger and striking a conversation. He is pretty friendly and can be quite chatty, he can make friends fairly quickly due to his charming attitude.
If you’re on bad terms with him, hold him back cause his mouth can start trouble where it’s not wanted. He does have a short temper and almost anything can light that fuse, especially since he’s impulsive.
If he’s around people he’s fond with, he’s basically the same as if you meet him in a nice way, except WAY more comfortable and louder. He has no problem showing those he loves some affection. He’s honestly just a big softy who seeks some love and affection whether it be a friend or lover.

Dusk was born on October 28th XXXX, his birth was unplanned and his parents were definitely nervous and unsure, due to their situation. His parents were very young at the time and had little to no money. Dusk was raised in a very cheap and old house, and he proved to be difficult to care for. He had a lot of trouble falling asleep and he paid many visits to the hospital. His mother would always stay home to care for him while his father tried to get as many gigs to perform in order to provide more money for his family.

When Dusk was already attending kindergarten, their living situation became worse. His parents fought more frequently and money was too hard to come by. One day, his father had an idea to travel for his career and tried to convince Dainty to bring Dusk and herself with him. Dainty disagreed and thought it would be too much of a risk as they wouldn’t have the expenses to do so. Volatile became fed up, decided to leave and never come back. This completely broke Dusk’s mother and Dusk being so young, he didn’t understand the situation.

As he started he growing, he began to excel in his school and made a friend named Spike Botic. They became very close that even Spike’s parents treated Dusk like their second child. Meanwhile, Dainty’s mental health slowly began deteriorating. She stopped caring for Dusk in general and he had to learn how to do a lot of things for himself at very young age. Every night, he would go to bed listening to his mother cry from the other room. Realizing her sadness was caused by his father’s disappearance from a couple years ago. Dainty began blaming her problems on him, verbally and psychically abusing him. Dusk had put up with her abuse since he was 9 years old all the way till he was 18. He stayed because he still loved his mother and had pent up all his anger towards his dad.

He dropped out of 7th grade and abandoned Spike without warning. He joined a group of thieves at only 13 years old in order to get money to care for his mother. He met Loya when he was 14, stayed together for a year till she cheated on him. He went on a heated tyrant that started when he was 15 and ended at 16 years old, he slept around with a many other girls as possible just to break their hearts. He quit the thieving group and stopped his tyrant whe he was nearing 17, he realized that he didn’t want to give his mother “dirty” money and thought she deserved better.

He was soon hired at pole dancing club and earned his money that way. One of his coworkers (named Angel Kat), had a creepy obsession for him. He gave the cold shoulder to most of his coworkers (as they were all female). One day, the girls were celebrating Dusk being officially a member with a small drinking party backstage. He didn’t want part take in drinking alcohol, but was convinced into drinking one shot (which was drugged by Angel).

Angel had sexually taken advantage of Dusk that night and in the morning when he woke up. She threatened him to make him shut up about she had done. He left her apartment filled with utter shame, kept his mouth shut and never told a soul. He fell into a deep depression and eventually became suicidal. He tried to take his life at work, in the men’s restroom, where “Big Mama” found, acted quickly and stopped him. Within a year, she helped him steer out of that path and he got a bit better.

The day came for Sapphire’s ceremony, Dusk was relaxing on a tree that overlooked the town and Gem Palace. He noticed panic spreading across the town, the weather becoming heavily cloudy, and ice forming over the Gem Palace/town. He acted quickly and ran as fast as he could to his house where his mother was. He reached his backyard when he saw that the lethal ice was approaching. He was torn between either risking his life to save his mother or leaving her behind to save himself. He ran away from the house he had grew up in to seek safety.

As he was making his escape, he tripped and fell to the ground and the ice was so cold that it turned half of his arms and legs permanently white. He barely made it into an underground cave where he was safe. He stayed in that cave for weeks and only went out for food or supplies. On one of his ventures, he was running away from a wild rampant beast and accidentally tackled a girl (Ruby) to the ground. He was shocked because she was the first sign of life he’s seen ever since the lethal blizzard.
