Also your thinking about a fresh faced Green Ranger first using the Dragonzord
on it's own. Β 1st off Tommy has 10 years of studying martial arts on his side
along with 6 years of being a ranger and piloting zords, not to mention returning
in Super Megaforce as the Green Ranger. Combining with the other zords and forming
the ultra-megazord, pretty much over powering any of the 3 different MechaGodzillas.
Therefore your argument is invalid, you and Mecha-Godzilla lose, good day sir~

SO by that logic the INSTANT Tommy shows up to pilot the thing... the fight is over and the Gay Dragon is instantly destroyed.
It's just the 2 robots on their own fighting each other... NO OUTSIDE HELP FROM ANYONE ... therefore MechaGodzilla wins.

Alright then, going by that logic you are also disqualified due to the fact that since neither of them have AI controlling them and NEED a pilot to be used, any outside help from ANY of MechaGodzilla's pilots auto disqualifies MechaGodzilla in return. Β
Now then taking in account which version they go with leads to this: There are three versions of Mechagodzilla, Showa, Heisei and Millennium, all of them have died at the hands of Godzilla, the first matchup was broken to begin with due to Showa pulling off a broken gravity defying drop kick with Godzilla in the first place therefore the Showa Mechagodzilla would have to be equally broken to match, which going on that, the first matchup ended in a TIE, not a ALMOST BEAT.Β The Second MechaGodzilla NEEDED to have a freaking jetpack to even pose a threat to Godzilla in the Heisei version and without it, was just as worthless as the materials it was made of and the Millennium version canβt even really be compared since it took the ORIGINAL Godzilla to even make, without that there wouldn't of been a Millennium Godzilla.

Now going into the DragonZord, yes it does not have a laser beam attack however going along with how the Tiger Zord was able to summon the other Thunderzords, this does leave the room for the dragonzord to do the same since all of the rangers have returned as well as their zords within SuperMega Force therefore allowing the DragonZord Fighter Mode, the Mega Dragonzord and even the Ultra Carrier Zord to make a glorious comeback.Β And before you start going on about how they were all but the dragonzord defeated please note that it took Lord Zedd defeating them all individually to really defeat them.
So in all, MechaGodzilla is a pile of scrap and DragonZord wins.

MechaGodzilla is capable of firing a rainbow colored optical laser that seems to be equal in power to Godzilla's atomic breath- its head can rotate 360 degrees, allowing the robotic dinosaur to shoot down an opponent that might attempt to approach from behind.
When MechaGodzilla had its head removed in Terror of MechaGodzilla by Godzilla, it could fire a small concentrated beam from a small antenna.
MechaGodzilla is also equipped with powerful missiles in its fingers, knees, mouth, and even its toes. These missiles can explode on contact with a target, or they may lodge in the flesh of an enemy like darts.
Located under a hatch in MechaGodzilla's chest is a weapon that fires a jagged orange energy beam with enough slicing power to cut a mountain in half. Showa MechaGodzilla is no slouch in close combat either, as evidenced in its combat against King Caesar, though it couldn't beat Godzilla in this area.
Finally, MechaGodzilla can fly via rockets in its feet able to reach a speed of Mach 5.

Unfortunately; I'd have to give this bout to Mechagodzilla (but only the original Showa version)
Dragonzord is a very tough customer, and probably one of the toughest of the Zords. Unfortunately, it's success ratio is limited to Monsters that Rita Repulsa has created, AND in fact does not have a standing Victory single-handedly - most victories come from cooperation with the other Zords.
Mechagodzilla on the other hand was designed to kill Godzilla - the thing actually managed to make Godzilla bleed; a feat that up till then, only Gigan had accomplished. Mechagodzilla boasts a vast arsenal of projectile weapons that are meant to keep his opponent pinned down at a distance.
With the exception of his Finger Missiles, Dragonzord lacks any truly damaging long range weapons. His prime method of attack seems to be in direct hand-to-hand combat, as he can attack opponents with his claws and smack them with his drilling tail. There's no doubt in my mind that Mechagodzilla would be able to keep Dragonzord from getting too close, as he's been shown to be able to change his technique in order to counter an opponent's defense. And if the battle against King Caesar is any indication, Mechagodzilla is no stranger to hand to hand combat as well.
Dragonzord however DOES in fact possess an Energy Shield that can deflect weapons. Unfortunately the shield is very limited and only stays up for a few brief seconds; it forms a kind of "light-wall" that is meant to block attacks coming from directly in front of Dragonzord.
Mechagodzilla on the other hand possesses a stronger and much more effective Force-Field that has been shown to sustainably stay up for full minutes at a time, AND protects his entire body from all directions. Energy blasts such as Godzilla's breath cannot pierce it, and physical attacks would get severely burned from trying to pierce it.
And of course, Mechagodzilla's Ace in the Hole; he has the ability to fly and is fully capable of attacking opponents from the air. He is able to travel at very fast speeds using this form, and would undoubtedly be able to counter Dragonzord's energy shield by attacking him from behind.

Why does this only apply to Showa-era MechaGodzilla? Every incarnation of the Mecha kaiju (well, the ones depicted in the movies, anyway) have shown great durability, great hand-to-hand prowess (except for the Heisei one, who is arguable the most durable of the three), and all have a myriad of methods with which to attack. I don't see Dragonzord beating any of 'em.
