Sunday Oct 26, was the death day for my dog, Pinky. She was accidentaly run over by my mom's van. Its as if she wanted to die, because she was run over on her neck. Its a long story...She was my dog for over 13 years. She was a terrier-mix, and the runt in her family. She was my loyal friend, a great companion, and one hell of a guard dog. Yes....she may have been small, but she killed more than 3 possums, and tons of rats/mice during her years.
She was my best-non-human friend. Because she was always there to make me happy. Her face made me laugh, and she seemed so wise. And when I cried she whined and licked my hand, as if to say " Im sorry"
I used to bend down on my knees and kiss her ontop of her head.
Have you kissed your dog? You never know how much you love them until they are gone. But i always knew....that's why I always kissed her.

the last kiss I gave her was when she died, the vet put her to sleep, and she was very old and sick ;_;

Yep, you got me crying. I'm so sorry for your loss (I know, this happened in 2003, but still...).
I spend my days kissing & hugging my puppy, I hardly do anything else.
Each time I try to concentrate on my work, I look at her cute little face and I just have to.

aww...i don't have a dog, but i have a cat...i kiss him on the forehead every time i get the chance! it'll be sad when he dies though. he might get run over cause he's an indoor/outdoor cat...and he's mostly outside.

that's so beautiful. My budgie dies recently, but he was never tame until the last feww weeks of his life, he kept coming out of his cage and flying around us which he never used to do. You're right, i think animals almost have a sixth sense that tells them when their time is up and that's why they act that way.
Maybe your doggie and my Alfie are playing together somewhere ^^

I know how you feel. We kinda talked about the death of my family dog in a later on pic of your dog, but I still have my cat Luna but she won't let me give her nearly as much attention as I'd like to. I think her version of noticing I exist is glaring at me....

my dog last year on September 4 had to be put to sleep becasue of a dease she got..... she was only 2 years old. she was a chow chow, and very fuffy and protective chow. her name was Ginger and i luv her soooooooooo much still! i miss her a lot, and i keep her picture up in my room.
she got a dease called pemphgus. its when your dog's nose and paw pads get all crusty. she looked so horrible when she had it..... it wasn't even fair! she didn't have a chance to live... it was uncureable.
every mornign when i would wake up, i would come down stairs and she would come a lick my face! she was such a sweet dog..... and boy how she hated men!!! she would bark at them non stop! except for my family. she loved women. she was just never around men that much i guess.
now, a year later, we have a new dog. her name is Jazzy and we resuced her from the pound. she's a black lab mix. she's a very sweet dog too, but i miss Ginger so much.....

i thought i was gunna lose my dog harkey almost that time, he was in a hospital 4 doga, he had tubes in him and was kut open, he almost died... im sorry that pinkey left you runee!!!!! :'{, my dog buster that i had about4 years ago died from someone speeding down our road, they ranover his nect too

God, I have to fave this...........I know how it fells, on some level. My dog, Gizzy, got hit by a car Thursday morning, October 30th, and died instantly. I didn't know what had happened until I got home from school adn then I spent I don't know how long crying. Mymom and step-dad buried her in the backyard and my step-dad made a cross for her. We put her favorite pillows and her water bowl nexttp her cross, with her name and collar on it.
She used to sleep in my bed and I couldn't even look at the other side of my bed without tears streaming down my face. I cried myself to sleep that night.

Oh my gosh, Runee, I'm really sorry about your doggy!!! Seriously, I DEFINITELY know how you felt and still feel. To be honest, I'm still feeling the loss of my cat, Muffin, when she died 4 years ago! My Muffin died from two dogs that had attacked her outside. It was early in the morning when I woke up to hear dogs outside, and when I looked out my window... there I saw her being attacked. I ran to my mom's room to tell her, and we ran outside and chased the dogs away. There she layed in pain. She wasn't really bleeding a lot on the outside, it was more of an internal bleeding. We cleaned her up and there wasn't anything we could do. She only lasted very shortly after that. But Runee, I cried my heart out during those last moments I had with her. I was there by her side, talking to her and trying my best to comfort her. I remember her meowing softly and barely... she looked sad. And I remember clearly right before she passed away, I told her I loved her and that I would never forget her... then she took her last breath and died. I cried so hard after that. I couldn't stop. I'll never forget Muffin, she was the best cat and friend I had at the time. She was a moody cat, but still lovable. *^^;* I wrote in my journal after her passing and kept her memory alive in it. But seriously, I never forgot that day. It's been so long now... but she's still very close to my heart. And honestly, I still get sad from time to time and even cry about it. I always get sad when I think about my old pets that are no longer around.
Well, sorry if this comment/message was so long. I just wanted to share this with you and let you know that I know what it's like on what you're going through right now. Stay strong and cheerful, Runee!
