Description
A Song of Ice and Fire fanart.I'm in a production of "Cats" at the moment, which has been sucking aaaaaaaaaaaaall of my time away. But I managed not only to sketch and ink a piece one random afternoon when I didn't have rehearsals, but even get started on the coloring (EGAD! Me? COLOR a piece? HA!).
Of course, I didn't get very far before I got swamped again. I am definitely, DEFINITELY going to finish this one, but I just don't know when. So for now, here's a small peek at a much larger image. I'll let you guess who you think it is and what context it's in.

Your characterization is astounding, and the coloring seems to be going very well indeed... but those leaf shadows are too obviously a leaf brush in PS or somesuch. Leaf dappled shadows are a pain in the arse to do from scratch, but in reality they rarely look like whole leaves and even less often that sharp.

Hmmm, good idea. They're on a separate layer, so when I get more of the background done I'll toy around and see what I can do to make them look more convincing. Thanks!
