YAY! U have the concept of Hermes as the god of boundaries too? It is a very ancient concept which some scholars said the image of Jesus as the good shepard and the Way/Road of life is adopted from him since Hermes was also the god for sheperds

It's one of his traditional duties in the myths, both enforcing boundaries and transgressing them. I think Hermes is probably the most flexible of the Olympians.

Gorgeous.. I've been looking for a art piece of Hermes!! My personal favorite of the tweleve Olympians. This piece has wonderful anatomy... This is a truly beautiful piece. And, although this may seem odd , I thank you for drawing Hermes!! This piece shall forever be loved by me. You should be proud of the great job you've done!!

Glad you like it! And actually, it doesn't sound that odd - in fact, I was inspired by the fact that someone else I know was complaining about the exact same thing. I know I've drawn some of the other god/desses for the same reason - Athena's more common, I've found, than Hermes, but it's still rather hard to find good pics of her, and she's my favorite.

Hm... when you were saying that you were looking for an art piece, did you mean strictly digital, or a print? Because this one is available through DA's print service if you're looking for something to put on the wall.

Oh, I'd certainly LOVE to recieve a print of this... only, I have a problem with things coming through the mail and stuff... If I can somehow straighten up that problem, I'd adore to have a print of this. Athena happens to be my best friend's favorite. And you are right, it is hard to find a good pic of any of the Gods. You truly have done a good pic, though, as I have said before.

The clouds and the shading in this are really magical. With the label on the bottom it looks like he belongs on a poster or in a calendar. I am wondering what his staff represents, hmmm... You should do one of Aphrodite Ooh, sexy shmexy!

Well, there is a poster-sized print available. That was actually the main reason that all that white space is there, I wanted to make it printable and it needed the extra size on the borders. So I figured, it needs something there anyway, why not just put the title?
