since the Saami (indigenous people of Finnish-Lapland) culture strongly revolves around the gifts and sacredness of the reindeer, i want to give the reindeer a culture within themselves. not the stereotypical fantasy culture of animals that we ourselves make up, but more like how the deer feel as being part of man’s world, their identity so to speak, being a “people" that simultaneously supports yet can be oppressed by another people.
