This took me a long time to finish, because I didn't have a tablet. I had to go to my boyfriends to use a tablet. But I finally bought a new one! So I could finish this.It's about 20 hours work. Drawing fur is easier than scales. Thats why it look me less time. I think the background worked out great! I'm really happy with it
This is made in Photoshop CS 2 and 3.This is a tropical griffin. You can find then in thick woods in warm area's. The males have more colorful fur than the females.
I fancied something different for a time. So I combinated a crow with a lion instead of a eagle and a lion.

The crow features were an excellent choice. I think the more slender build of a crow's beak and neck apptly suit a jungle based creature. Excellent work.

and still keeping it short... i disagree about the left wing being at a funny angle O__o i dont see why each wing would have to be perfect at the same angle anyways... maybe im missing something..

I'm really glad you finished this guy--I liked how he was coming out. I love how you can see all the muscles and sinews and the ribs underneath the fur--I guess at least THAT's easier to do with fur than with scales, huh?
The only thing I really notice is that the left wing seems to be at a little bit of a weird angle. But that just adds to the griffin-ish style of it, so I think it looks pretty cool and I wouldn't worry about it ;D
I also love the background ;A; I'm terrible with backgrounds and I hate them, but yours look so yummy and realistic it makes me want to try harder. Look at all those different kinds of plants! And the grass and the dirt and rocks...just too cool ;D Great job!
