Description
Another character for Tech Sector. Sylph is the sweet little demon huntress and the youngest of two sisters who speciallise in the paranormal. While her sister Light is a hard-hitting zombie busting vampire smashing goth gal, Sylph takes a gentler approach and carefully unravels the complex and eerie sub-worlds created by pschological ghosts. When not in her role as a Sector Guardian, she works as a psychiatrist, her serene and calming manner making her perfect for this task.Sylph has no elemental magic, so a lot of her spells are deception based and she can teleport at will making her a very difficult target to hit. Her keepsake doll's name is Remnant, and she can filter many of her psionic spells through him to change them or make them stronger. Remnant is possessed by a beneviolent ghost of course is a bit of a smart alek, in fact he gets some of the best lines.
Sylph doesn't appear to like or dislike Holly, instead she remains very formal and is never confronting or judgemental.
Sylph was originally supposed to be the main character of Tech Sector. However, she just didn't seem "main characterish" enough, so Holly was created out of one of her older designs.

their members of the weasel family? i didn't know that. I thought they where strickly cat with out tails. hmmmmm. and way i use to own a minks that's why i know that. he was black and white and was named pepper.

Aha, you mean MANX, not Minx. A Manx is a breed of cat without tail, similar to the bobtail but without even a stub.
MINKs are related to ermines and weasels, and are prised for their fur, which was used to make coats at one stage. Not so commonly done now that real fur is a no-no these days.

Yeah, lead pipe. It's great. Seems like more of a tactical fighter than some of the others.
Great fuzzy ears. Cute face too. Her wings remind me of the wings from the main angels of Tales of Symphonia, very nice. Great costume design, and love the tail.

Funny though, 'cause I'm not so sure you actually know what it means. You have written there that she has no elemental abilities, but in fact, a Sylph is actually a mythological spirit of the air (also called a Sylphid). That's why I called my char (a cobra, in fact) Sylph, is because she's a sky-pirate, so she flies around in the air a lot.

A SPIRIT of the air, which is ghostly, whispy, paranormal. Most of her magic is paranormal-based rather than being elemental which is things like thunderbolts and fireballs. Her fighting style is also super-evasive, meaning that it's so hard to hit her, it's like fighting a ghost. Her name comes from the ghosty aspect of sylph rather than the element it represents. But then again, she is a wind ninja.
OMGOODNESS, COBRA ANTHRO? I've seen anthro snakes, and they look weird-ass. But then again, I did anthropomorpise a sea slug...

Well, the cobra's got legs, if that's what you're worried about. But she is structured quite differently from the other characters.
Btw, what you're talking about, a sort of windy ghost, rather than being a Sylph is usually refered to as a Will-o'-the-wisp.

I've wanted to use that pattern on a suit for a very long time. I finally figured out how to make patterns in photoshop.

her name is the name of the summon spirit of wind in Tales of Symphonia, Slyph! and... a ... pipe..? o.o nice character, but the way she uses the doll reminds me of Tales of the Abyss somehow....

Never heard of it. Sylph is just a ghosty name. When I play Pokemon my Gardevoir is always called Sylph.

This is an amazing character and backstory, though I have just one question: Why the lead pipe? Compared to the space-age nunchucks (sp) it seems a little "low tech". Though I guess there's no reason not to use old-school.

Thank you. The different vision filters come from that little hairpin thing below her right ear. Those coloured lights spread out to create a visor that goes over her right eye. When she needs a different filter, the lights just rotate and 'click' into place.
Ecto-vison lets her see ectoplasm trails left by ghosts as they pass through walls.

Actually, she has a hard time doing much physical damage. Her magic is especially geared towards messing with her opponents minds. Therefore she isn't much of a powerhouse. Her sister Light on the other hand...
