You'd probably have to order it online somewhere. Amazon.com sells it.

i love seein the process of how things are done.these are great.one question

just curious,they both look great.

The giant edition comes out today I believe. And yeah, that's how I far I take my pencils. Sometimes I tighten up backgrounds a little more if they are too sketchy, but that's about it.

[link] gonna have to go today to pick it up hopefully your right.cool, thanx
also, thats crazy man.thats some serious confidence in your inks.and the more you do it the easier it gets and more comfortable it gets but damn thats awesome man.
how long does it take you to pencil the page before you tighten it up?and when you start inkin how long does it take to actually ink and finish it?

RyanOttley In reply to AaronHoustonArt [2007-03-17 18:05:56 +0000 UTC]
Oh every page is different. Sometimes it takes a day for pencils, some times I can do 4 pencil pages in a day. And same thing with inks. It just depends on what I'm drawing.

Sweet!! I am so glad I found your work at Digital Webbing, otherwise I'd probably never have discovered the awesomeness that is Invincible!
Every issue I pick up just makes me that much more motivated to work on my own project, and I wanted to thank you for doing such incredible work.

Its interesting; your style is so sharp and angular, yet it never fails to flow and move. I like your construction.
Anyway, I don't know all of the characters yet, I'm trying to catch up on your book. Good image.

Very nice good poses, copesition, framing/background the only thing I'd like to alter is the circle could be neater/crisper and more precise.

Yeah I used a dinner plate. I realized AFTER I used it that there was slight indentations in the plate being part the design. Ah well. Live and learn.

This is marvellous and makes me wonder how much thought must go into composition for a group shot like this. You've struck an immediately effective balance with the placement of the characters, and crucially their shapes in 3D as they lean out of the page is a very big part of that. It isn't just a jumble of people.

speedball0o [2007-03-12 18:03:56 +0000 UTC]
i'm hoping they're (issues 40 and 41) both very gory, like gory as hell...because i really dig the way you draw people mangled, decimated, beaten to a pulp, etc. and that the issues have more of shapesmith than ever before. if you can give me these two things than i can give you a very happy reader.

So slick man, how long does this take, and what do you use to ink with. Really dope shot Ry, i love the body language on everybody, i want to learn to ink better, so im asking a lot of inking questions to people, Anyway, DOPE WORK YO!

I was using brush and quill pens, dipping them in ink. That became too much work. Now I only use Staedtler pens. The brush is called Staedtler mars 3000, and I use the regular Staedtler pens for fine details.

It is so cool that you can turn such loose sketches into inks with such ease, man! Reading the comics, I always wondered how precise you made the pencils, seeing as how detailed the inks are. Great job!
