Description Ryoko:
I finally finished this yes! I put so much work into this piece. I used a lot of difference reference for this. I had a girl at my school model for the fairy's face, a boy pose for the man, borrowed baby picture, and searched and searched for traditional korean clothes and settings.

Fairytale: The Woodcutter and the Fairy
Culture: Korean

Story: Once there was a woodcutter who wanted a wife. He saved a deer from hunters and in return the deer led him to the bathing fairies. He told the woodcutter to steal a robe of one of the fairies. Without the robes a fairy could not ascend to heaven. He did so and the fairy married him, but she missed her family. They had two children. After their second child he gave the fairy back her robe, but the woodcutter had been warned by the deer to wait until the third child. The fairy then took the children and rose to the sky, leaving the woodcutter forever.

This is really good! This must have taken a long time to finish.

I think that a similar story was used as a base in the manga series Ceres.

beautiful drawing work, especially on the details of the beads and the landscape. That's a sad tale though.

This is fantastic - there's so much detail, and after reading your summary of the fairy tale, you can see all the proper elements in there. It's amazing - you pretty much see something new, or something you hadn't focused on before each time you look at it.

Did you go insane with all the stippling? xD I'm surprised that you didn't like, rip the picture in half halfway through out of frustration!

Best one I've seen from you so far! Love the hair ornaments.
