It took me two and a half molds to properly cast this. The blade's edge is so thin it's kind of tricky.Sculpted out of polymer clay, epoxy and heatformed PVC, then cast in ortoftalic resin (which turned out sturdier than I initially thought). All the details are haut-relief, contrary to most replicas I've seen and true to the real game texture

Nettlebane is a completely different texture, though the shape is the same.
It's actually made of wood, and has more of an organic texture and feel to it.
I'll be making one next year

I dont know a whole lot about resins so when I look online, I'm pretty lost as to what all the info means.

It's a kind of polyester resin, used mainly in lamination processes because it's very strong and somewhat flexible
I have no idea how easy it is to find outside Brazil, I always buy it from the same site =\
But any kind of polyester or polyurethane resin is good!
The good thing about PU resins is that they cure REALLY fast.

Ya it's just a case of fine tuning. I do knives myself from skyrim out of steel which is nice but it takes too long to do fine details so generally I leave them out. If your interested click on my channel, I did the daedric dagger and steel dagger ( as well as a solitude shield )
