Description
This man was seated on the steps of a Burger King on a cold and windy day, and kept glancing yearningly at the group of very warm people eating inside. After he finished a cigarette he looked one last time into the window. With a groan of frustration he stood up and sat somewhere where he didn't have to see the people inside.Fenway - Gainsborough Street

i think this image can really sum up the state of this country right now... as if currently we are all that man smoking a cigarette, while the people in the restaurant are a memory of better, happier and more prosperous times.

true. but people have a really hard time letting go of their vices. They'll give up almost anything to have them. Or perhaps he was regretting buying that pack of cigarettes whenever he got hungry. Or maybe someone bought those cigarettes for him. Unlikely, but you never know. I often wonder what the motivations are for everyone around me. We are all deeper than we tend to realize.
