Wren obtained this little guy as a very traumatized Applin, one of a dozen who had moved into a set of Starf-berry pastries. He wasn't the only survivor, but he was the one who came closest to being eaten before rescue. Seeing as how he was *not* getting any calmer, Wren managed to obtain a Tart Apple so the little wurm could get himself some more mobility and power.

It took Phyllo most of the night to use all his new acid-spitting powers to hollow out his pastry and toughen up the shell, but now he's a much more capable (if still a bit skittish) Flapple! He can even still hide inside the shell and peer out of the bite mark that almost killed him, spying on the world while being protected.

I'm very proud of the way this came out.
