Description wowee
so this is naomae! i was originally going to go with de la rosaria but decided against a spanish surname
she likely changed it to matapang after forcing spain out u:

but anyways as u can see no she does not wear any kind of dress, namely the baro't saya, which she only wears for formal events or national holidays
she prefers lighter things that will keep her cool, but during tag-lamig she'll wear sleeved things and longer shorts. bright floral designs are her favorite. u v u
the slip around her waist is a translucent spin on the philippines flag, which she wears just to show off national pride - which she has a lot of. like, a lot.
her bracelets represents stray islands while her ahoge thing represents the longer, larger island of palawan on her western coast.

physically she's about eighteen or nineteen years old. her hobbies lie in outdoorsy activities, things like gardening, shopping at outdoor markets, swimming, water sports, the like, however she currently works at surian ng bulkanolohiya at sesmolohiya ng pilipinas, or the philippine institute of volcanology and seismology, as a volcanic researcher.
she also enjoys debunking monsoons, but she's more or less concerned about the active volcanoes in her country as opposed to the horrid weather everyone is used to.

as far as relations go, her best friend has to be america
she's super interested in his pop culture and kinda-sorta looks up to him (it's just that while he occupied philippines, she rly wanted him to get out of her bubble orz)
malaysia and brunei are closer friends while china, japan, and south korea are like distant relatives
she considers former spanish colonies brothers and sisters, and certain american states like little baby cousins
i'd ship her with brunei tbqh

nationlier
i was thinking about that but then that would have been too boring because almost all of my ocs have their hair either down or short
plus then she'd look exactly like catalina except darker hair and eyes

Um, she's cute, but there's a law against wearing the Philippine flag, so I would really recommend fixing that.

[/ uh i just thought i'd point this out:

> the slip around her waist is a translucent spin on the philippines flag,

i used to have a philippines so i knew that it's against the law, and told him not to use the actual flag, but that using elements from it was okay
if you want to see the actual design of that slip i can show you and assure you that it's not the flag u vu ]

Eh, if it passes as a slip then kay? I just personally wouldn't go for it. =3=

[/ er well a slip with the exact design wouldn't be okay either
it was meant to be something like this or this , because using red, blue, white, and the sun & stars for a design is acceptable in the philippines as long as you aren't taking the real flag and slapping it on top of something
i suppose it's kind of risky but from what filipinos have told me and from what i've been given as gifts, they do sell these things of things in the philippines :v ]
