I just love how this series is like a semi-realistic version of Sonic The Hedgehog!

It's more symbolic than anything. However if you're looking for a specific chapter, it has yet to happen.

It looks like... Chapter 9.Β Admittingly, I haven't read anything. Not out of a lack of intrest, just have had time. I actually haven't had time to look at a lot of things, like Gotham and the Flash. Need to find time to do all that.
Hope you have a wonderful year, yourself. Take care!

Goddamn! I can't believe you made this, Saber! Not only is it better than what you drew for Sea3on, but it's better than anything I've ever seen from you. Where to begin? Well, the first thing that struck me was how much the imagery evokes the classic cover of Sonic #47. I don't know if it was deliberate, but this kind of cliffhanger moment always gets the pulse racing. It's interesting to note that the male and female roles have been reversed this time, despite the fact that Tails can fly. It also took me a moment to realize that the pillar Fiona is perched on is in the shape of a fist, which I think is a testament to how well it blends into the environment. The background looks bleak and desolate, with a more stony than metallic appearance, but still appropriately dystopian for the setting.
The characters themselves are masterfully drawn. I still can't believe it's your work; this looks like Pat Spaz in his prime. (Yes, I'm being dead serious.) Despite the awkward pose, Tails' anatomy is carefully depicted with every part of his fur flapping in the fall in realistic detail. Even the way his mouth is distorted and his teeth individually drawn shows that you spared no pains with his appearance. Both characters look convincingly horrified at the situation, which adds to the emotional thrust of the image. The inking and shading are both very crisp with a slightly desaturated palette that I think emphasizes the dreary environment. The brightest spots are, of course, the sparks from the broken wires, drawing the viewer's attention to them and highlighting the danger. It just impresses me how evocative this cover is in terms of both technique and vision. Although I can't write a formal critique for this, I hope you will consider this one and take it as a sign how much I adore this painting. It's one of the best pieces of Sonic fan art I've ever seen and your best work to date. You should be proud of yourself, Saber. Mazel tov!

Damn, thanks man!
Admittedly, I didn't have issue 47 in mind when I planned this out, once I started inking everything it started to look familiar... Yeah, I won't blame anyone who thinks I got the idea from Spaz's piece.
Lol, I had a lot more free time when I was working on this. Really, the thing I was happiest with was the inking. I'll throw that up when I get the chance... and try to swap this image with one with better resolution.
Seriously, thanks for the kind words and I'll keep at it. This won't be my peak.

I love the action and detail, not to mention the skillful perspective. Don't worry about the tails thing, if it was unexpected, he may just not have had time to engage.

Can't Tails fly out of this?

That's what I thought mid way through working on it, but I guess it would be hard to get his tails going from the angle he's at, and with all the wires he's hitting on the way down, ooohhh... I should have had his tails tangled up. Darn it.
