I personally think some of my later dolls turned out much better than Kabuto (he was one of the first generation over last summer), but he appears to be favorited more than anything else I've ever made.
I just hope Artist-san is still enjoying him on the opposite side of the continent!
Also, I noticed you placed me on your watch. Thank you very much.

I sound like such a geek for this, but I had that gift art as my laptop wallpaper for months. XD The largest concern I have with the plushie I sent him is that the little guy might eventually fall apart and I won't be there to fix him. I'm a tad neurotic like that.
As for where I am, I literally am on the opposite side of the continent, seeing as I'm in the Carolinas.

To be honest, I have absolutely no clue. The wallpaper appeared on DA well over a week later, but I guess Artist-san doesn't realize how lucky he is. My mother kept threatening to kidnap that doll.

I don't know what it is; my mother wanted to kidnap the Tayuya doll, the Kimimaro doll, and the Jiraiya doll, too. I guess one perk is that I made it myself (I plan to make more this summer), but I'm hoping to get a profit out of some of the finer-looking ones.

Well, a friend of mine and I wanted to get a Sound Four group together for Animazement this year, but it sort of fell through. I nearly completed the Sakon costume, but the attachable head's a mess...and I think Alverta never got the Kidoumaru outfit completed. If we end up doing another con, I'll probably make the same offer I did for this one:
If I can find a Sound Four group for a cosplay convention, I'll be giving the cosplayers their respective plushies as a gift. ^^ I'll naturally be keeping Sakon, seeing as he was exceedingly hard to make; the second head (Ukon) kept getting in the way.

See, that's the beauty of also working on original designs. Some people can actually do a wonderful job with those.

He turned out quite nicely; I'm glad you find him cute. My mother agreed when she saw him, even if she's never seen the anime...poor dear thought she wanted to kidnap him.

If it's any comfort, I plan to make another doll for my mother at a later date...and my youngest cat keeps kidnapping the Orochimaru doll I made every time I come home...

He took quite a while to make, and like all my works, there's still a few things about him that got me to cringe when he was done. Out of the plushies I've made so far (myself, Kabuto, Hibird from Katekyo Hitman Reborn, a random chick, Kuroneko the black cat, Akane Chigusa from the Neo Naruto forum, the cat from Sagashite no Fullmoon, and Orochimaru-dono), Kabuto's been the cuddliest. If you're serious about learning how to make one of these, we can start exchanging emails.

Actually, it's not as hard as you'd think. If you're ever bored enough to give it a try, I could write out a step-by-step for you on how it's done.

I got the purple fabric from my mother's set of scraps, as well as some identical earthy-green fabric. It proved to be sturdy enough for the shirt, trousers, gloves, and boots.
His glasses were a royal ass-pain to make, seeing as they had to be the same size on each end. Even I have to agree with you, though; he surprisingly turned out fairly cute.
Since we've got a family situation where my mom's got to go down to Georgia, I told her she can take one of the plushies with her, since I can't go. My bets are that she'll want to take the medic.
