Personals
Personality:
Insecure – mild/gentle – calm – petty – kind – possessive/jealous – pushover – sharp
Aria is a rather reclusive person, not because she is afraid of other people or a misanthrope but because of an inferiority complex that makes her easily jealous of others. This does not imply she is incapable of making friends or can't enjoy a simple conversation. No, it's just a little harder for her to open up to strangers.
Those who have managed to become her friend will see a very mild-mannered and calm young female who doesn't display anger very often. Instead, she is the kind of girl who will swallow all negative emotions so others consider her likeable even if this means she has to pretend some pet peeves are not as bothersome as they truly are. A personality like this requires a lot of patience which Aria certainly possess yet as soon as her jealousy resurfaces, even the best façade can't hide how she truly feels.
As soon as she sees one of her friends hanging out with someone else, the Vulpix would love to simply push the rival for attention away and sweep her friend away, fearing that she could be replaced otherwise. Due to her want to be loved, it's also rather easy to take advantage of her which she might realise but is too much of a pushover to stand up for herself. Whenever she is in a good mood, Aria is quite the kind and cheerful person though it will only be noticeable if one pays attention to small smiles or some humming rather than expecting this docile female to grin broadly and hug everyone meeting her.
Furthermore, she is a rather bright kid who enjoys learning but her shy person inhibits the possibilities to show others that side of hers as she feels it's impolite to correct others or even answer their questions if they are not directed at her.
History:
She was born as one of many Vulpix eggs, not the right one though. No, she was not the shiny Vulpix her owner had wanted to hatch, neither were her siblings though. Therefore she spent a lot of time in the box and didn't really get to see a lot of the world.
Despite her mother's encouraging words that they were all wanted and none of them was less valuable than a shiny version of their species, many of the newborn Vulpix developed some sort of inferior complex and it happened that Aria was among those. After all, her trainer would have taken her to all those exciting new places if she had a different colour. Or she would have been able to fight the strongest Pokemon in a team of equally powerful creatures. But instead, she and her siblings wasted their days away in the box, unneeded and ignored.
It was not a bad life though. Mama was there and a lot of other Pokemon their trainer had caught during her journey and whenever she visited them, she was a very nice human.
So, even though she was not that special, Aria felt loved.
But eventually, some of her siblings were taken out of the box and none of them came ever back. Fearful at first, the young Vulpix was explained that they were 'traded away' yet she was unable to make heads or tails of that at first. It wasn't until it was her turn that she bid her mother and remaining siblings farewell, thrilled what new adventures would await her. Never had she imagined being traded around from one person to the next though. It was boring. Apparently, she was not good enough again and Aria wondered if those various trainers would have been interested in her if she was indeed a shiny variation. Because her species couldn't have been the reason, all different kinds of Pokemon were traded around and some of them must have been rare.
For example, she met a Magikarp who told her he had been traded from one trainer over a hundred times even though he was such a unique and rare Pokemon. Only after she had grown older and met more trainers and their Pokemon, Aria began to realise what it meant to be a 'common Pokemon' and, after she had shed off the gullibility of youth, she ultimately realised that all the other 'special' kinds of Pokemon she had encountered, had not been all that special at all.
But life was still not bad. None of the trainers treated her bad, they simply just didn't want her. But the tables were about to turn when she was given to a very young girl with the biggest smile and freckles on her cheeks. Suffocating hugs and nose rubbing and bell-like giggling. Nothing Aria was used to. And oh, how she adored that little human. So much, in fact, that she sometimes wished to be a human herself.
Sadly, her new owner was very sickly and couldn't go on a journey herself. Aria, on the other hand, was not bothered by this. Quite the opposite because this meant she was special, the only pet. It was her master and hers alone. Whenever they weren't together, she would even leave to fight a few wild Pokemon to get stronger, all to protect that precious human of hers. Fighting was apparently harder than expected but after the course of a year, even Aria had become better at it and could now scare those cheeky Rattata away or make the loud Pidoves leave her owner's windowsill.
What she hadn't trained herself for was the deteriorating health of that human owner of hers.
One day, she was laying in bed coughing and the next day, her parents were packing her things and saying something about 'moving to the sea where she would feel better'. And apparently, Aria was not meant to be part of the family anymore. With apologetic expressions, the mother of her owner brought her into the wild and explained that the little girl was now too sick to take care of her so they had decided it would be best to release the young Vulpix into the wild. Without asking her! The nerve! Aria was furious, she didn't want to leave her owner's side.
But now matter how much she tried to sneak into the house or run after the car as it took the girl away, her attempts were futile.
There was only her. Her and the gossiping Pidoves on the windowsill. Heart-broken for the first few days, she paid no heed to those chattering birds until they discussed how there was a device that could turn Pokemon into humans. Lured by false hope, Aria thought if she could posses this device, it could be her taking care of her owner.
Guided by the two birds, she travelled far to find one of these magical machines that would grant her the power to become a human. Eventually, she found one and stole it, determined to give it back to the owner once she founds her little girl owner with Aria's search starting in Couriway Town. The only reminder of her owner is the clef key she has and she values it more than life.

It had been the perfect location. So high up and close to the sky. Where else could one find a spot like this? But, much to her dismay, it was also a place that was hard to reach.
And truth be told, this flying thing was certainly not something she was good at. Climbing was no problem but as soon as she had tried to fly up to the highest peak of this stranger tower, Malcom had lost control and now she was stuck here. Her shirt had gotten caught by the stupid antenna, wings not working the way they were supposed to so all that was left to do... was dangling around while looking at the seemingly endless forest of Mystery Isle.
While the downside was hanging around with no idea how to get back down, she did have the opportunity to take a few pictures though and that was certainly something she enjoyed. Or... had enjoyed. Because after some photographs had been taken, there wasn't much to do anymore. Calling for help also didn't seem like a good option seeing that there was no one around. Or maybe she was just blind as a bat because even though she couldn't see anyone, her bat ears picked up some sounds and the female turned her head to find out if anyone was close.
