Another character for RP usage. This guy has been rattling around in my head for a looooong time.

For every ten merchants that get a pleasant trade route and hospitable climate, there is one that gets rockiest, coldest, most dangerous routes imaginable.

Antimony is one of those merchants and he is not happy about it.

Antimony once thought that being a trader was an easy way to make money and see the world, but he was unfortunate enough to receive the trade route through The Gulch into The North. This route is widely renowned for being a death sentence, but no one told Ant that. And so Antimony unwittingly traveled through a death trap. There was a very long stretch of time when everyone thought he was dead. Imagine their surprise when he turns up months later sitting on a tripod with a bag full of goods from the North. Imagine their further surprise when he continues to take this route. Antimony has become somewhat of a living legend within the Cartel, being the only one able to travel this route alone. Though he’s ’famous’ now, he’s still very bitter that none of the cartel members bothered to warn him about nature of his charge, and that some of them even spurned him forward as a joke. Now all he really just wants to do his job and keep to himself, and doesn’t tolerate people fawning over him.

In fact Antimony doesn’t tolerate people in general. Ant thinks that life gave him a bad end of a deal, what with being given the worst trade route possible and having no one tell him how bad it really was, and loosing his legs because of it. Being such he’s a pretty grumpy guy. He’s very serious, bitingly cynical, gruff and obscenely stubborn. It’s pretty much impossible to tell what he thinks of you, because he comes off as hating everyone. When he's trying to sell something he's very professional and reasonable, but other wise prefers everyone to just leave him alone. At this point in his life, he actually prefers being out in the wasteland by himself.

Ant has since lost a good chunk of his breastplate (I like to think Stein had something to do with that, haha), and is pretty much a stump below the waist. He rides around in a tripod machine made of a pair of tongs and a tuning fork, and can control it via directly a pair of jacks hooked into his spinal chord. When he isn’t in his tripod, Antimony walks around on his hands. But he feels very vulnerable when he's out of it, so he doesn't do it often.

He mostly peddles rarities, but also carries around several canisters of a unique fuel he brews himself (referred to as ‘Juice‘), which temporarily increases the consumer’s strength, stamina, accuracy, senses etc. but leaves their system pretty jacked up for a few hours afterward. It’s his secret to surviving such harsh conditions, but he’d be willing to part with a canister or two…for a price. But it's not for everyone - please consult your doctor and see if Juice is right for you. Some stitchies react badly to it and start hallucinating.

He carries a spear with a serrated edge to cut through fallen timber and scrap, and has a trowel on the end so he can dig himself shelter while in harsh conditions. He also has a flashlight on his tripod. He carries his things in a denim pocket made into a satchel strapped around the girdle of his tripod, and also in a backpack made out of a sock.
