The way L looks down and Light raises his head high really says something about their standing. It's more like how Light, or Kira in this matter, has gained the upper hand in their battle of wits. The color of their 'auras' (I somehow like to call it that :3) may also represent those same thoughts, as with red it shows a more aggressive approach, while blue is being calm, I guess? XD L looks notably defeated here, as his eyes even suggest it.

that's exactly the meaning of this picture
u see L looks like from the ep 25 , his last episode when he knew something is gonna happen to him , and it did
as u can see L's hair looks wet , it's the same as that episode where L and Light were standing on the roof
Light made his plan seccessfully and he hited two birds with one rock
He killed the biggest threat and that's L and Rem disappeared , it was a brilliant plan , i give him that
but Damn it !! he killed my best character !

I'm working on a picture that has to do with characters from the video game Tales of Zestiria. I've drawn some of them before, and I think you've seen the picture.
Here's a link to it if you don't know who I'm talking about 
And after this, I'm probably gonna draw someone from Pokémon, and attempt to draw a complex background behind them.
Let's hope it turns out correctly...

Aw L's taken!? hell no! i'll be havin those two!! x) I love both as individual characters (I can say L's my favourite tho xd) BUT i think death note's best value is the interactions between these two! 
i agree Light looks cooler, more confident. That looks like L from ep.25 =/ less confident, but still knowing what was going on and what would probably happen next... and what a surprise.. he was right, as always
But look at that drawing! Monumental! two of the greatest anime characters ever perfectly well-drawn! and that background really looks like Death Note's Japan, awesome! so that's my christmas gift right? x) wow thank you very much!

That intimidating look Light is giving me is kinda frightening, haha, love his expression though! L on the other hand looks kinda sad, I always feel like I should cheer him up somehow, haha.
I see you spent a lot of time on the hair, it looks awesome! The background is really cool as well, it suits the image. And I see you added a signature, nice touch Sam!
