Something I've finished about 1,5 month ago as test of smoother way to shade with color pencils - and I still like the result and finally got good scan :3 Not any famous brand of pencils were used, those are from kids edition of Koh-I-Noor but I love how they are colorfull and soft (Jumbo natur , if anybody is that curious). They blend together really good, mainly at darker shades. Ligther areas were done with way more fighting - I didn't wanted to see strokes here but it's difficult to shade it enough firmly when you have thick, soft and vimbrant color pencil only to work with

The colouring on this picture is really amazing! Those brand of pencils must be really good. The scan looks great this time too! You have pretty hair and eyes in this! I love Samantha's big smile too! Very cute portrait!

Yeah, this brand is not classed as professional line (it's more like kid/school line, not even hobby line) but I still find them to be pretty good, better than many others lines which are higher classed.

With enough skill I am sure the professional grade ones are not needed. Probably best to you use cheaper ones as long you can make it look pretty! ^^
