Description
This is another scene inspired by the story of Maeglin, Idril and the fate of Gondolin. I imagined Maeglin caught by someone (perhaps the same Turgon) while he's watching Idril and Tuor kissing on a terrace in the city. Inside him, fidelity to his kin is fighting with the hate inspired by losing the love of Idril and the right to the throne in the same time.For the architectural details, I was inspired by Gloucester Cathedral, that I consider very elvish (but I'm not a fan of Harry Potter ^.^

The scene of Tuor and Idril together with Maeglin watching them has been painted so many times and yet it is always interesting to see a new take on it by another artist. It is great to have Maeglin in the foreground, it really changes the perspective (both literally and figuratively).

Di nulla!! Mi piace molto l'espressione di Maeglin, riesci bene ad esternare i suoi sentimenti attraverso i disegni! Riesco quasi a comprendere le motivazioni di questo personaggio e provo un sentimento di compassione per lui.
Sono d'accordo 😉 Infatti anche io non ho mai letto i libri ma mi piacciono molto i primi tre film 😊

I always imagined this scene of Maeglin lurking in the shadows and spying on Idril and Tuor too, and I'm so happy that you have painted it! And yes, you've captured the jealousy and despair in his face so well.
