9/9edit 6: last but not least. tbh, never really liked the big piece of metal stuck on his face. leave that look to kano.. so i looked at tech examples i do like
edit 5: hawkgirl! or is it hawkwoman? mostly based off the animated version. gonna have to scale these a bit once ive finished them all, she dwarves the rest of the lineup and was not intended that way

I love your rendition of the league. You have such a unique blend of the character's aesthetic history in these designs! The ones that stand out the most to me are your Flash, Green Lantern, Hawkgirl, and Cyborg. As far as Flash and Green Lantern go, those characters have a very limited window of what looks good on them, and you're right in there without straying too far from the originals. Hawkgirl's tight, black almost spandex-like covering on her arms is great with the armor on top. Your Cyborg is great, I'm glad you decided to still keep his left eye distorted but without the metal plate. I haven't come across a Cyborg without the metal plate on his face before, so this is an eye opener. For me, I look at the metal plate as sort of the bat symbol or s-shield of Cyborg's design (because he doesn't have an iconic (and sometimes stupid) chest symbol most of the time) so I haven't played around with taking it off, but it works great here!
As far as constructive criticism goes, the two designs I have "issues" (using the term loosely) with are Superman and Wonder Woman. I like having a lighter and darker shade of blue on Superman, but to me the dark blue looks like pants on him which is unappealing to me. Maybe have the dark blue in the place of the pads on his elbows, knees, and elsewhere on his body, as sort of an accent?
And for Wonder Woman, the thing that looks off to me is the cloth around her waist. I think it would look way better as a short cap with most of the weight on one shoulder like how some womens dresses have one strap on one shoulder, and just leaving the waist cloth-less with just the red and dark blue suit. I really like how Wonder Woman's back is fully covered too, you found a nice balance between power and sexiness in her design!
This is amazing! Definitely an inspiration!

one of the common complaints about supermans n52 design is that it looks like a onesie. it wasnt one i agreed with, given that i really like the design, but it wasnt a look i wanted. since i wasnt going to have the red underwear to break up the blue and that the belt i designed wasnt a single piece, id use the darker tone for lower half instead to make the distinction between top and bottom. the iconic superman outfit is really simple and clean, and thats the same look i wanted to have here.
same thing with wonderwoman. the sash is there to break up the larger dark areas on the outfit, and is symbolic of the old star spangled underwear. i also fixed the sash around her waist with a medallion, which also provides somewhere for her lasso to be holstered. the medallion idea i took from the disney's hercules, which was the mark of the gods, just with the chest symbol instead.

Seeing them all together in your style is too damn cool. I'd say I like one of them the best, but they just look all so kickass.
I'm THINKING I like your rendition of Cyborg the best out of them all (with those shoes tho), but maybe he could look a little bit more robotic?
I do like how you streamlined him and made him more modern looking though...so maybe an android arm and/or leg could be showing?

i considered it, but the idea here was have to cyborg look less overtly robotic. you cant really tell, but my idea for cyborg here is he still has much of his torso and upperarms, but also lot of underlying cybernetic implants and cleaner robotic prosthetics.

I dig what you did with Cyborg, I personally don't mind the metal face plate and technically I'm pretty sure Vic was rocking that long before Kano was even thought of.

oh yeah, cyborg has been around for a lot longer, its just that i feel like its an antiquated look, so i looked more at deus ex:hr, cause i really like the approach there. thats what the scars on the face and golden eye is supposed to imply, the surgery and rebuilt face underneath.

I really like your redesigns of these classic costumes. Very sensitive to the ones we know and love, but with a real freshness that brings them into a more modern sensibility. Far more successful than the redesigns that actually made it into the comics, in my opinion. Very nice work. This is why I follow you here.

Love your take on the Green Lantern costume. Hal's my favorite, but that's just cuz he's a classic. I love the Green Lantern mythos above all other DC continuities, and your version of Kyle is absolutely fantastic ^^
