Ooo the color blending/run looks so amazing! How are you able to make it look like that?

San-T In reply to Shiroi1062 [2013-09-15 02:07:25 +0000 UTC]
Uh, I'll have to write a book just to answer this question lol
The simplest and the shortest way that I can describe, is by applying many different techniques at the same time... Blending colors with a big soft brush... Mixing paint with water and either let it drip and flow or just overlay it thinly in some areas. The black drip for example is liquid acrylic that I drip.
I hope this helped =]

Lol sorry. That actually does help, thank you. I tend to be curious about everything and ask a lot of questions. Any answers I get, big or small, are all very helpful.Β Β

This is beautiful. I'm curious how you get that wonderful blending of the color in the background?
π: 0 β©: 1
San-T In reply to StephanieFimbres [2013-09-15 02:00:00 +0000 UTC]
I found that the best way to blend colors is by brushing softly in different directions between the colors. I wanted a bit rougher blending so I didn't overdo the brushing... Washes and glazes work good as well when you want to enhance some areas (wash is paint with water, glaze is paint with medium)
And thank you, if you have any other questions, I'll be glad to answer =]

Can I ask how you draw your circles? With a compass, trace around an object, with a stencil or just freehand?

San-T In reply to Vanessanon [2013-09-11 11:42:39 +0000 UTC]
I usually draw and paint them by hand, but in this painting I wanted a rougher look so I dipped different containers in paint and pressed them onto the canvas... since the paint wasn't equally distributed, in some places the line is rather thin while in other it's a splash of paint, which was exactly what I wanted.. =]
