The title and description put a lot of emphasis on the fact that you got lots of snow.
Whereas the picture, is using the sky as a major focal point.
It draws my eye away from the snow.
So my only critique is to pick one, sky or snow, and focus totally on that. If you wanted to focus more on the snow, put the camera lower to the ground and aim slightly parallel to the ground.
Again, this may be terrible advice, because I am not a photographer, it's just my opinion.
P.S. Sorry, I overuse commas.

Super pretty sky!!! I totally get what you mean about the snow, I hate it x.x I mean, it didn't snow all winter for me here, but right when it hits Feburary we practically get blizzards

I like snow~!!
Yeah, I think the camera you have definitely matters. Megapixels is a good indication of the clarity of the photo you can take, and higher optical zoom is always fun. Mine is a Canon something-or-other with 8 megapixels, and it takes mediocre to good pictures. However, Marta's family has a Canon camera as well, with a different design and 10 megapixels. You can put that camera in anyone's hands and BAM! Gorgeous photos. The clarity and resolution is amazing. >A<
Try playing around with different settings. It might be fun to try taking a landscape photo with, say, the portrait setting. (Portrait setting is one of my favorites. ) Maybe also play with angles? Good pictures are the ones with crisp detail and focus on the subject, so it's hard to capture that same quality with broad landscape shots that maybe aren't so clear. The eye is drawn to the crisp brightness, like the right side and the horizon of this particular photo. I do like the gradient from light to dark, though.
I've always wanted to mess with those "more professional" cameras with the attachable zoom lenses and such, but my dad won't let me at them. =A= My sister is the "photographer" of the family, since I'm too busy to go take pictures, but I think it runs in the family. My older half-sister (the one that doesn't exist >>) is actually a professional(?) photographer. owo So now that I've spontaneously combusted will all this hidden knowledge about photography...
...go check out Maddy's gallery: ~NightKindNever32297 She's got some pretty pictures. ^-^ And keep photographing stuff! TAKE LOTS OF PICTURES! Obnoxious amounts of pictures! Of everything!! (I have a hilarious closeup of my dog's nose while she's dozing off... XD) If you have a bunch to look through, you can immediately pick out ones that just look better. You'll get the hand of it.

thats good, i think!
im ready for spring to!
I have a Nicon D60 with a regular lense and a telephoto lense.
here is my photo gallery, if u wanna look at the quality: [link]
and here is my best pic, in my opinion: [link]
your camera very much affects the quality of photos. high rez, better picture. also, the flash can really make a difference. dont use the flash for more natural light, and in my opinion it looks better a lot of the time.
hope that helps!
also, cameras wit ha big lense r better than, say, a digital camera
