Wow I finally finished something!

This guy is just a random lion I started doodling in my sketchbook for the past few days and I finally decided to do him justice and make an actual digital reference sheet for him! Can I just say I'm freaking obsessed with him??? He's been so much fun to draw, especially those expressions, oof!
He's kinda inspired by heart-throb bad-boy types <3

He is a rascally rogue from the Jungle, not associated with any pride, now or ever. He was found abandoned as a cub and adopted by a family of baboons. Having found him infested with fleas, they affectionately named him "Fleabite". Their tribe was accustomed to using nature inspired names, especially influenced by an individual's traits, personality, or affinities. His left ear is pierced, as his baboon family was fond of jewelry and piercings inspired by surrounding human tribes.

After growing up, Fleabite spends less and less time with his adoptive family, tending to enjoy solitude or flirting with any other lions he happens across in the vast jungle. He is bisexual and has found many love interests, but has never truly wanted to settle down. Personality wise, he is a bit of a player, aloof and self-serving, sort of a douche but not entirely uncaring. He is laid back and spontaneous, riding through life free and happy to do whatever he wants with no worries or responsibilities.

His eyes are piercing yellow, and his mane is long and flowing. It's almost a dread-like texture, but more loose and falls around his face and shoulders like long human hair. It is also fairly wavy and curly, somewhat messy too.

He coexists alongside Ajabu's pride that reigns more and more over the Jungle territory he calls home as time goes by. She sees him as more of an annoyance than a threat, and since Kualei is blind, Fleabite doesn't have much to fear from the local King. When he does run into the lovely queen, he always tries to seduce her and always fails. She sees him as a foolish, overgrown cub and wants little to do with him.

edit; I TOTALLY FORGOT, I have two alternate designs for him but I COULDN'T DECIDE so I just ended up sticking with this one, which was the original color scheme. Feel free to take a look at the alternatives and let me know what you guys think: sta.sh/21wbqt9f79yl
There's still a possibility that I might go with one of the alt designs, I could easily change the hues of the ref since I still have the layer file. HMM
