You know, in some way, I could see this as something Heero would do in private. I really like how you shadowed his eyes like that, it really adds to the power of the moment, and the forlorn turned down expression on his lips. Might I also compliment your ability to take realism and blend it with anime, it adds a lot of depth to your work. Like, his hand and his face for instance, the way you have them shaded and blended looks so smooth and realistic, and his face looks soft, but has an underlying strength about it, I'm drawn to it, it's beautiful! Admittedly Heero is not my favourite character, but this is a lovely image.

I actually didn't like Heero much myself, until I rped with some wonderful Heeros, and now I adore him! He's my favorite character, right behind Quatre, tied with Duo ^__^

Hmm, I've had similar experiences with anime characters. I'll insist I hate so and so from this series, then I'll get into an RP with someone, or at least a lengthy discussion, and they'll wind up a favourite of mine XD I am just glad I am not alone in my love of Quatre, he's my absolute favourite Gundam pilot! Kindred spirit! *High fives!*
I believe in giving more detailed comments, especially to artists who really put effort and soul into their work. Saying something like, "This is great!" or "ILU!

My first favourite Gundam pilot was Duo... and I don't know how I ever wound up on Quatre... I think it's because my little sister became attached to Duo, so my second favourite character, Quatre, became my favourite. You might want to shoot me for it, but I am a BL fan so I DO pair Quatre with Trowa, but I DON'T cram that down other people's throat's by any means. Actually, it's kind of sad, because I think that Quatre has a bit of a crush on Relena, but he knows that she likes Heero, so he keeps out of the way. I know that the "canon" pairing for Quatre is supposed to be Dorothy, but she treats him like such garbage ;_; he deserves better, whether he thinks she's a kind person or not. I agree with you on the Duo and Heero thing though, they are very close to Quatre... Trowa is too, but in a different way, I don't think he knows about Quatre as everyone thinks he does.

I think Q became my favorite after I rped him for awhile. He just kind of took over XD But I love Heero and Duo so much that they're right up there XD And I would never shoot anyone for their pairing preference! I just don't happen to see any of the boys as gay, personally. But that's me ^__^ I actually could see Quatre with Relena, too. I always thought they might make a good couple (well, after I stopped hating her, when I played with wonderful Relena rpers ^__^) Actually, the creators stated that there were not really any "canon" pairings, apart from maybe Heero and Relena, but even that is open to speculation. I kind of like that it's all left open, so we can all have fun with it. (And I hate Dotty anyway...and her Eyebrows of Doom O__O) Honestly, though I like Trowa, he's probably my least favorite of all teh pilots. It's probably the hair...it drives me crazy. But I see all five of them having close relationships, spurred on by Quatre, and partly by Duo. I see our little blonde as being the glue that binds them together, and the one that brings them all closer. Can't you just see him planning and carrying out all manner of "family gatherings"?

Is the bear at all related to the one in the intro and the movie? You know the one he finds in the house of the girl with the dog (I think her name was Mary but I might be wrong) after his mission goes wrong and he ends up destroying a residential sector?

I always thought he may have gotten one for himself, or always had one, kind of as a talisman or summat. My friend played Heero in our rp, and I don't know her exact reasons, but the bear seems important to him ^__^
