Next in line! I just have one this time around, but I'll hopefully have the rest up soon
I have to say, Bedlington Terriers are weird-looking things, but it's mainly their odd fur-dos. It was that very thing which made me look at the terrier and say, "That looks kind of like Meg's hair!" Plus, terriers are notoriously tenacious, and that fits her personality to a "T" ! Anyway, here she is ^__^I chose the word "sacrifice" for Meg. It seemed fitting, given the fact that she sacrificed her own soul for her first boyfriend (though he turned out to be a jerk) , and later pushed Hercules out of the way of a falling pillar while he was human. It's worth noting that she also had to sacrifice her own self-esteem in order to serve Hades. O__O

Wow, that was a pretty cool series...used a lot of my favorite breeds (Bedlington, Afghan, Poodle, Irish Water Spaniel...) I love beautiful dogs with awesome hair/fur, lol, and that's something the princesses definitely also have! ^^
I sort of did a similar thing when trying to decide which breed(s) would be owned by each princess/heroine, and at the same time was thinking what they'd look like as dogs. (I do that for everyone. And now it's ponies as well. XD) I was basically guided by the country/region from which each girl hailed, and/or her physical appearance. Like, Merida's current pets are Scottish Deerhound, but the neighboring Irish folks' Water Spaniel would suit her appearance-wise! Elsa & Anna bring Salukis to mind even though they're from Norway, and for Ariel, Standard Poodle works well...water dog, come in red. :] [[Oh, yeah, looking back at the list I came up with of "princess' dogs" and "princesses AS dogs," I had some almost kinda similarish but different ideas for breeds/crosses. Fun!!]]
Anyways, while I would've made different choices for some, the pics are well-drawn and interesting and I see your reasoning as well.
Meg does look a bit like Sasha here, too. ^^ And while Bedlingtons are known for having a little bit of a "softer" temperament than most really hard-charging terriers, they are most definitely still tenacious and courageous, athletic dogs.

That would be an interesting thing to figure out; which breeds each would like. Β I think it would be different than what breeds they would actually be if they were dogs, so it takes some thinking. Β I still need to do some of the other princesses, I just haven't gotten to them. Β Merida would be hard because her hair is so iconic you'd almost have to use it as a part of the decision. Β Sometimes I went more for what suited the girls rather than region, but it depended. Β I'm glad you liked this series! Β And I could see Elsa and Anna as Salukis, or a variety of spitz. Β Elsa could be a Samoyed. Β It's fun to speculate, though

Aha! It's okay!! Certainly don't want to ruin anything--but you've done such a nice job with all of the drawings that the series is a success as far as I'm concerned, no matter what.

Bedlington terriers are actually known for NOT being tenacious at all, they behave a lot more like sighthound (the share some genetics with whippets). Calm and friendly indoors, but energetic outdoors
