The shapes upon the stones are very clever in that they already look like a complex mapping network. Or maybe that's exactly what they are and I'm just captain obvious. :/ Either way, I like the shape/size variations as well.

What a wonderful idea.

I like how they look organic-like and natural rather than the crystal shard and the like most fantasy stories use as Teleport Waystones.Β

It's a truly unique idea, I love it.

Yeah I don't get the crystal stuff. I mean I do.. but design wise its really over used.

Thankya!

Yes, they're definitely over used.Β  That's why your Waystones are such an artistic relief.

Another thing I just noticed, maybe it's just me, but thy look almost native American Mojave desert-ish. I don't know why, but it's a nice break from the medieval look.

Yeah that type of rock tends to appear in high deserts or places with porous or volcanic rock that's been smoothened by water flow and glaciers.Β

What happens if the base of the waystone breaks? Cause I notice that many of their bases are very thin.Β  Would it stop working if it's no longer connected to the planet/realm/world directly? or does the network not work like that?

Despite it looking visually brittle the material the Waystones were made from is incredibly robust. It would take a lot to break. That said. The Waystone wouldn't necessarily cease to function. It just wouldn't function properly since relative to it's destinations it is in a different location. This could lead to unfortunate results if the stone were moved significantly.Β

So in other words, don't use a brokenΒ  Waystone unless you want to teleport into a wall.
