Description
Painted paper fan for of her character/fursona Xesta, Okami-style. (She was amazingly fun to paint, by the way.) The swirlies just kind of happened.Sumi ink and watercolor.

Once I finish my current orders I'll be making a few of my own of Okami characters, anonymous wolves and dragons, things like that, so you could get one of those if you see one you like. Or maybe they'll give you ideas if you want your own. Just throwing that out there. ^^

Well, Koi fish would be very nice on a fan, and I think butterflies, bees, dragonflies and other similar insects would be too. Little garden variety birds would be cute too.
For fanart stuff, anything Castlevania would look really nice, if you know that series. The official artist Ayami Kojima has a style and visuals that would translate nicely to your style.
There are lots of Pokemon that would look good, the legendary birds and beasts definitely.
Legend of Zelda has plenty of good characters, from Twilight Princess wolf Link would probably be really easy for you and Midna would look nice whether in the same fan as wolf Link or not, then there are bosses from throughout the series like Volvagia, Gleeok, the Helmaroc King, Maladus, and tons of others.
Lastly for my suggestions, if you've ever seen the official art for Metal Gear Solid, it's kind of similar to Sumi-e style. If you like mecha then you'd probably really enjoy making fans of metal gear REX or RAY, as well as the Beauty and Beast Corps.
That's kind of a lot, I hope you can get some inspiration from this!

I'm rather liking some of those ideas. Koi fish, dragonflies, birds, Zelda and Pokemon stuff. I'm not very familiar with anything but MGS's music, but I'll look into that because it sounds interesting. Thanks for the ideas.
I'll need a lot more practice with some of those things, but I could use it anyway, so I'll try.~
