oidsaflksjdlfad aHHHHHHHHH good good good good good good oh my god good GOOD I love these three so much. How are you managing to make me love my three favourite characters even more? how? HOW?! HOWowoww? molly moriarty, moran ahh marry me

"Perfect aim! What's your name stranger?" That is such a bby Moriarty thing to say. Oh my god please stop it with making me feel these feelings "this here is molly" "this here is molly" what even? You have their voices captured PERFECTLY. I always imagined Jim sounding so unnatural as a child; like a actor from some very old movie he liked.

Ahh! I'm so glad you like this - and yeah I can definitely see Jim speaking as if he memorized a script; I guess it would explain why he was such a brilliant actor when he was playing Jim from IT and Richard.

Oh honey~ Colonel Sebastian Moran, one of Professor Moriarty's "employees" (AKA: snoipah (AKA: sniper)) in the canon but seeing how opera singer = prostitute I have no idea what the BBC will turn him into.

Rainbow-Marbles In reply to Captain-Of-The-Plate [2012-04-14 02:17:16 +0000 UTC]

I'd forgotten she was an opera singer in the original story. I only read it once, about 10 years ago.

Captain-Of-The-Plate In reply to Rainbow-Marbles [2012-04-14 02:21:29 +0000 UTC]

Oh! Haha. So what did you think of the massive twist regarding her occupation?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Rainbow-Marbles In reply to Captain-Of-The-Plate [2012-04-14 02:51:26 +0000 UTC]

I like it It's twisted, in a good way. Honestly, I find the updates they made on the original cases to be really interesting, I don't have many negative things to say against anything in this series, really XD
How do you find it?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Captain-Of-The-Plate In reply to Rainbow-Marbles [2012-04-14 08:21:47 +0000 UTC]

Yes "interesting" is a good way of putting it. I don't really dislike what they've done but they could have done better. I mostly like how each series marks some giant moment in Sherlock's life (i.e. meeting John, his "death", etc).

Is it true that they're going to do a fourth series though? That'd be... interesting. B=

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Rainbow-Marbles In reply to Captain-Of-The-Plate [2012-04-15 03:55:19 +0000 UTC]

What do you find they could've done better?
Oh, yes, that's definitely something I noticed. I find that the second episode of both series covered a less important moment of his life, and I enjoyed them a little less.

I don't know about a fourth, but I know a third has been commissioned and will eventually be made?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Captain-Of-The-Plate In reply to Rainbow-Marbles [2012-04-17 09:25:11 +0000 UTC]

Mostly script-wise. Some things just sounded so unnatural and some scenes were ridiculous and dramatic and made me cringe. And I'm not saying that Benedict Cumberbatch is necessarily a bad actor but I think that he could have done much better in some scenes. Ha ha yeah there's just something about those second episodes. Probably a curse :/

Good! (Also, I have no idea what "B=" this was I think I accidentally hit the keyboard)

Haha yeah.

Yes. (Haha alright. I use the emote often, that's all )

Captain-Of-The-Plate In reply to Rainbow-Marbles [2012-04-18 07:12:13 +0000 UTC]

Ohh it's nice to see that you allow for alternative views. A trait that many Sherlock fans (and a range of other fandoms) fail to consider important.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Rainbow-Marbles In reply to Captain-Of-The-Plate [2012-04-18 14:19:28 +0000 UTC]

I think it's important to let people have oppinions. The world would be so boring if everyone thought the same way. I get annoyed whenever people try to push their views on me, so I don't do it to others I especially get annoyed when the subject of the disagreement is something as subjective and trivial as what you like and don't like about a show I really hate it when fans get too protective of their fandom.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Captain-Of-The-Plate In reply to Rainbow-Marbles [2012-04-23 09:11:54 +0000 UTC]

Ahh yes. Overly protective fans are what ruin fandoms; from the inside out. Sigh.

Capcomgal27494 In reply to Rainbow-Marbles [2012-04-13 16:12:37 +0000 UTC]

Irene Adler is an opera singer in the original canon and a dominatrix in the BBC show. TBH, I thought it was a nice twist on the story.

Rainbow-Marbles In reply to Capcomgal27494 [2012-04-13 16:23:08 +0000 UTC]

Ooh, I only read Scandal in Bohemia once, and it was a long time ago, I forgot about that detail XD Thanks a lot
I really quite liked it too. I thought it was much better than in the Guy Ritchie movies, where she was just, nothing? Well, didn't really have a noticeable job other than being Moriarty's henchwoman.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Capcomgal27494 In reply to Rainbow-Marbles [2012-04-14 13:13:58 +0000 UTC]

No problem
I can't stand the Ritchie films, and their Irene is a bigpart of that. Which is a real shame because I think they got their portrayal of Watson spot on. He's too often used merely for comedic value in modern interpretations.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Rainbow-Marbles In reply to Capcomgal27494 [2012-04-15 03:51:52 +0000 UTC]

Aha, I see. I like them, just as long as I forget they're about Sherlock Holmes and think they're about some random victorian gentleman with a flair for action. I really did like their Watson, as well. I haven't seen him used only for comedic value, but then I haven't watched many modern interpretations of him. I do plan on watching at least the Jeremy Brett Sherlock Holmes series eventually.
