hurrayy, hurrayy. da seems to be mostly working in firefox again, hurrayyy.this is my part of a collab with that i have owed her for something along the lines of 100 years. i am very slow. anyways. it's her character Orqua -> [link] the orca (duh), and my character Ahanu -> [link] who is a mako. as far as i can tell Orqua's just trying to be friendly, and Ahanu's trying to figure out if Orqua's going to try and kill and eat her or something. she's sort of basic like that.
i was to do the lineart/inking and she's going to do the coloring so keep an eye out over her way for that. i'll link it here when she does. i didn't ink in their markings 'cause i'm not sure how she plans on coloring them. so. my favorite parts of this are the end of Orqua's hair and Ahanu's right leg.
that's all i can think of for now. Orqua belongs to , Ahanu is mine. no taking art or chars, thanks. faving w/o commenting is boo and all of that, not that people ever listen.

Question, now that I am looking again, I am wondering...what do you use to ink? I am seeing some line variation so it isn't tech pens but its not quite brush work either. Crow quill maybe?

Ooooh! Badical! The whole thing with just a .005? Now I have tried that before and it never comes out that well. Hmmm...I will have to experiment with the old Microns. If these aren't the better days, it must have kicked ass in yesteryear.
One last question and I will leave ya alone. French curves or free hand? I can never get the hang of French curves.

oh dude, you did such a great job on drawing Orqua I love it. I wish I could draw her this good DX. You even added yoru Mako character, i was wondering what ever happened too her. You did a great job on the size of the two characters, especially how Orqua just towers over Ahanu.
's been getting very good with her coloring style, i don't know if you've seen them but she has this great style when she colros in Illustrator. I can't wait to see what she comes up wiht.

I too envy the depth and crispness of the lineart. Those lines are just so, so yummy. . . Especially the ones on the orca girl's upper torso. *eats them*

I think it might be because lineart is so rarely posted in its stark, undecorative form, without pretty colors and shading and other shinies added. Since there's nothing to "detract" from the lines, you pay more attention to them.
I still think they're lovely, though. I'm far too impatient to be neat about my lineart; I get frustrated and start sketching. So, I appreciate the cleanliness. =]
