nice work, saswat! love the way you blended the edges. gives it an ethereal, dreamlike quality. would be even better if you softened the sharp parts (lips) to heighten the effect...

by blending if u mean smudging, i did it with a cotton cloth
rubbing the graphite powder with the cloth to fill the black areas

waise hand smudgng se bhi ho jata hai but it's kinda messy :/

hand smudging se the portion you dont want to smudge also gets blackened

yeah exactly... moreover once you hand smudge an area, after wards if u want to rub off some portion, some grey spots refuse to go :/
i should have done it on a good paper... m such a lazy bum... i did it on my classnote sheet

wow, gorgeous! i love the vague shadows and the smudgy effect, it gives a real feeling of sleepiness...
perhaps the eyelashes and the eyebrow could be a little more prominent... also, try to give the lashes a real curve.
love it though - you've conveyed light and shadow beautifully. well done!
