Not bad for one of your first attempts (took a look at your gallery); you shaded, which is always a good thing, and the eyes have emotion and life (something that is definitely good). A few tips/critical things, though:
*The nose is too long. Basically every single artist makes this mistake as a beginner drawer. Seriously XD
*The irises are too small- they should be a lot closer to the bottom of the eyelid.
*DON'T be afraid to go dark in shading the skin! Completely serious. It'll bring a lot more life and dimensionality into the piece.
*Blending- whether with tissue, a q-tip, a blending stick, or a shammy- is recommended. It makes the skin look really smooth, and the tones smooth.
*Hair is made of tones. There are not many tones in the original picture, but there are still a few, and adding in those tones brings more life to the hair.
