Yeah, technically, this guy has no name. Originally, I designed this character for a commission for a friend to celebrate their baby: [link]Then I drew these poses up for a contest that *NightOttsel was hosting for her watchers to design a male reptile for her, but she canceled that, so this guy went on the back burner.
Then the opened up a contest for velociraptors. Go figure? I guess this was a sign to finish this guy up. Guess we'll see what happens to him. Most likely he will be put up for adoption. ^_^

Back Burner and Burner are names that sound like a Stove top, or something Fire related.
Acceleration...no offense, but that's a terrible name for a character. Can you imagine the introduction?

well, he is a velociraptor & velociraptor are fast as well as smart like cunning
when it come to hunting especially in packs. and seeing that he has no name yet i thought that throwing in some ideas like suggestions might give ya an idea as to what to call him & such.

Unfortunetly, no. I didn't even place in the contest.
I've given up on contests since only the really popular artists ever win.
Not to mention...the same artist has won almost every contest I've entered in that club.
Go figure?

I worked on my submission for a solid week between work and college, it has a very elaborate background, and is very detailed. This is the one: [link]
And I still got beat by this: [link]
The first and second placers did an excellent job, and I wasn't worried about them winning. They are popular artists, AND their artwork was excellent. All I got was an "honorable mention", and so did many other artists who put lots of work into their images, and we all got beat by a dim image with 3 characters at a table? No background?
I've read the comments from the "judges" and I swear its just alot of BS they made up to let her win because she's a popular artist.
So, that was the point I decided to quit contests. Why put so much work and effort into something when you have no chance of winning anyway?

Yup, but a contest is worth participating if the "judging" is fair and in a community like this, there is not such thing as "fair" because people only vote for friends and popularity.

Oh, thanks! Yeah, he was fun to work on. I designed the boots' Steel toes to act like Raptor claws.
He does technically have the raptor clawed toes, but when you wear shoes, he needed something to take their place.

Since he wears the boots and his real claws are not exposed, this design is meant to mimick the toe claws of the Velociraptor.
So...yeah, I think it would hurt.
