Dates: 6/19/21-6/23/21 (Took 5 days)Artist's Notes: Another commission done for . These are some examples of reef building barnacles inhabiting the cold waters of Great Lakes Earth. From left to right starting with the top row they are:
Pseudolingula (based on the phosphatic brachiopod, Lingula)
Necrowort (based on whale barnacles, these barnacles will begin their lives as plankton which slowly make their way up the water column, eventually they latch onto a large sea creature, once the creature dies and falls to the bottom of the ocean the barnacles will enter the reef stage of their life cycle)
False Limpet (based on limpet snails which are often found clinging to rocks along with barnacles)
