More drawings of the little vanilla bean that Steven becomes friends with. Erik is super innocent, the kind of person who considers it "being a badass" when he drops his gum wrapper on the ground instead of in the trash can (and then running back and picking it up two minutes later because he felt bad). He's also one of those kids who's pretty much invisible. Although hopefully considerably less depressed. Some of the Ted jokes on Scrubs got a little too dark for comfort.
It would be funny if Erik also sang though. That quiet kid in school who is only heard when he sings. The kid does have something of a choir boy look about him.

I picked a Norwegian name because he's from Minnesota (because I knew he'd be a counterpoint to the super rebellious Black-pride Steven, and Minnesota was the dorkiest, whitest state I could think of at the time) And Norwegian names and words just sound funny. (that's also why JΓΈrgen is Norwegian, it just seemed funny to me to have a Norwegian demon)

Ugh, I identify so much with Erik it's not even funny anymore. I used to get sat on until I put on quite a bit of weight and I still don't get noticed a lot. His design is really cute and I love how he kinda hides his face in his scarf!! It's really cute!
