Damn, I must be still so new to 3D - I didn't even know AS had made anything
specifically for male figures! 
clothing is no longer truly restricted to one figure, male or female.

They had made one outfit for M4 a very long time ago, it was a bit fantasy but could pass for modern too. It was a pants, shirt and shoe set, I donβt think it sold well so they didnβt make any more male clothes. 
Β I have a lot of there other clothes but itβs mostly for female. (Still trying to make decent work featuring female lol.)

similar for the new Genesis Male figures. The Genesis males do seem to be getting more
attention with characters and outfits than poor M4 did when he was around. We can dream,
right?
Hahah, I have the opposite problem to you - I need to drag myself away from my female
orientated images and make something male centric. I just get more inspiration for the
girls.

I feel the same way you do, it would nice if they did make some more. But last I hear they are only going to be focusing on female clothes/items. That was years ago so itβs highly unlikely they will change their mind after all this time.
Β You can still use females and maybe add a male character to the image to start with? For me I find that much easier way to start then just have an image of just a female character on her own. I feel so uncomfortable working with just her by herself so I usually have a male character in the image to help guide me.

Heh, that is a good idea! Wean myself off female-only images by tossing some male
figures into the scene. I might have a couple of images in my "I so want to make this"
pile that could be translated into a male character instead. Some creatures I want to
make might actually look better as a male. *ponders*

I hope to find some time this week to get back into making some images. At the moment,
I'm waiting on a test render from DS; I'm banging heads with the skin shader, trying to get
some nice looking SSS skin in DS, on par with the SSS shaders I have in Poser. I hope, once
I get some nice looking skin, I will growl and snarl a little less about learning DS's lighting
system.

Setting up the skin in DS can be a bit tricky to do. Iβm still working with it myself to make it look more like my poser skin as well.

I am so missing Poser's Material Room while I am working on the shader in DS. And that's
saying something, because for so long the Material Room was a place I avoided like the
plague! lol
But I think I am SLOWLY getting somewhere with my skin. My test renders are taking their
time because I have the settings cranked up full to be able to get a proper sense of what
the settings look like, but when they're finishing now, I'm no longer screaming "NONONO!"
but rather staring at the images longer and longer, "This is better."
If I get the basic shader worked out with the skin I'm using (a random character skin by
Silver/Countess) there will be more fun to be had next month when I get Zbrush and can
get started making my own skin textures. (Waiting for Zbrush, so I can avoid the nasty,
unpleasantness of seams!) Definitely going to be making a shader with my own skins in
Poser first! lol
