Description
After a two-year survey of the sectors coreward of Federation space, and three successful First Contacts, the Endeavour-subclass cruiser Bunker Hill (CH 1730) approaches Starbase 23 in early 2372 for refurbishment and reassignment. During the refit, a dorsal-mounted torpedo launch system would be fitted for trial runs with the older-hull Constitution-based heavy cruisers. Although successful, the decreasing cost and refit time for new-tech cruisers starting with the Constitution-II class would render the newer torpedo system ultimately unnecessary, though Bunker Hill retained hers until decommissioning in 2304.
