I am really impressed with the colour, clarity, and cropping. It really makes me wish that I was standing there when the sun crested the hill.
Everything seems to explode in my direction. There is such a huge contrast between the foreground and the sky, both in lighting, and in motion.
It reminds me greatly of the area between Idaho, Utah, and Wyoming. I rode a Quarter horse, pushing cattle, mending fences, and cooking "prairie chickens" in the 1960's. You sit there in the saddle, no sounds except the animals, birds, and insects, and you watch the sun come up, as if a new story was unfolding before your eyes.

Well the camera body was about $1,740 and the lens was $804.
