Description First, let me explain some things :

1. The place in the picture is the Masjid Qubbat As-Sakhrah a.k.a. "Dome of the Rock" . It's the second holiest of places for Islam, as it is the spot from where Muhhamad ascended to Heaven

2. It's also a fact that the mosque was built right above the ruins of the Second Jewish Temple.

So...according to the Jewish religion, a THIRD temple must be built. And guess WHERE it's going to be built. Of course this would mean an all-out religious war.

Of course, what kind of a Messiah requires a temple to be built just before he comes along is beyond me, or is the Third Temple just a sign of the Messiah's coming? Because, if it is, why the rush?

If I see any HATE comments, the comment section is going to close. So, be smart, don't hate

No,it's exactly the opposite. I say that "it's a nice place" meaning that it trully isn't. Fact is, that this place is a holy place for both religions and both should have equal rights to it,yet they don't.

You point is quite defined but currently there isn't any wars or that many arguments occurring of it and that it is being noted. It was built more than a hundred+ years and definitely it is a monument of history for the non Muslims and needs to be protected and since it DOES hold such a big meaning to the religious people of Islam, this could lead to a problem if any one suggested it...a war could rise but wont due to the rule and regulations.

Only thing missing for the end times is the third temple

hpshi [2012-05-03 14:24:58 +0000 UTC]

actually the massiah is the only one who supposd to build our temple and the dome of the rock is the third holiest place for the islamic culture with the first being the city of Meccha where Muhahamud was born and the city of Al-Madina where he has rised supportes and then went for his violant quest.

actually the 2nd temple was built on the ruins of the first one (since the first exile of our pepole lasted for 70 years the seconed exile lasted for 2000 and some claim it has never ended) and the legands says that the first temple was built on the very rock were our anscstor Abraham was about to sacrafice Issic (his only son) and was prevented becouse it was a test of faith for him which is also the first rock god has created.
for all those who dont think this is something worth dying for let me explain something to all of you:
the jewish relligion is much much more then tales and rules! we were and still hunted by the locals in every singal place we tried to settle in after the second exile in each generasion someone tried to wipe us out and no one has ever done it even 70 years ago when the nazis has killed 600000000+ jewish pepole we never gave up on hoping that someday we will live once again in our own country and we formed our own country throgh war and blood becouse no one would help us in our war of independnce all of the world leaders watch us fight to see who wins and we won the war and the religion became part of our culture our way of life it is what keeps us going even when the whole world is aginest us
it keeps us jewish.

1. Not as Holy as Holy as they would have you believe They turn their rears to it when they pray to Mecca. When they pray to a black rock there that fell to earth a long time ago. Their own writings say that Jerusalem belongs to the Jews. They just hold onto it to keep the Jews from the Mount. They even disrespect the Mosque at times.

2. Actually, not quite and...
It won't mean a 'religious' war, the Temple will be built during a peace.

Jesus Christ does not need a Temple there, but Prophecy needs to be fulfilled, and will. The Temple being built heralds the Tribulation period. When the image of the Anti-Christ will be put there.

Why would I give a hate comment.?
All peace and Love.

i don't see why they need that rock anyway, i've seen videos of what they do at the rock and all they do is play soccer, have picnics, and when it comes time to pray, they pray facing away from the rock, and when they do it looks like they're sticking their butts at it . i even made a comic about it [link]

Fun fact, there is actually room up there for the third temple to be built and still be enough room for both houses of worship to function. it is a snug fit, but there is room.

and it isn't a requirement for his coming back, it is a sign. there is a difference.

I've got a simpler solution - a 1MT cobalt-jacketed bomb right about dead center.

Then let anyone who wants to stroll on in and build whatever they want. Of course, the radiation will kill anyone who gets anywhere near it for about 10,000 years, but hey, patience is a virtue.

Yeah, but the radiation doesn't last very long from an 'Enhanced Radiation Weapon' - that's the advantage to a cobalt bomb. The radiation from THAT will last generations. The idea is to make the region utterly lethal for a few generations (I'd be fine with millennia as well) so that there is simply nothing to fight over any more.

Exactly - and the oil isn't near any of the 'Holy Places' - although it's the same countries, in general. And where it IS close to someplace that would be covered in radioactive debris, we could just set up some automated equipment!

It's the perfect solution! LOL

Peak oil. Global warming. China building a city the size of Chicago every three weeks. Resource extraction and distribution strained to the breaking point, with about a billion five hundred million people living provisionally, without adequate potable water, nourishing food, or decent shelter, while the world's population approaches seven billion (World Health Organization).

Globalization has become irreversible because the world is now dotted with sprawling human settlements the localities of which are utterly inadequate to their sustenance. 'World wars' are no longer possible, because the next big disruption in the production and distribution of essential goods would kill over a billion people that you never aimed a weapon at, let alone those in the theatre of conflict, before the paroxysm widened out to swallow the globe in a cascade economic failure. At this point, given the self-reinforcing waves of starvation, disease, and conflict escalation, human species extinction becomes possible, if not probable.

This artwork of yours is meant to be ironic and insightful, and it is. It is also horrific, in that it forces the realization of a world held hostage to the intransigence of passion and ignorance. All religions realize their eschatology, says the late Joseph Campbell, and it is indeed probable that we all will be forced, by the unenlightened among us, in their teeming millions, to experience the truth that theology in the hands of the unwise is as sure a road to Hell as any sin, and in the hands of most, the enemy of all joy and advance.

All the holy temples of Jerusalem must be built where the binding of Isaac took place - which is in Moriah mountain (where now stands the dome of the rock).

Also, the Dome of the Rock is holy to Muslims Jews and Christians.

Jews - We belive that the Foundations stone was the stone where God started to create the Universe, and where Abraham tied Isaac to sacrifice him.

Muslims - All of the Angels came to the Foundation stone to choose this location to built the universe, all the prophets before Muhammad prayed to this stone, and this is the place that Muhammad had rised to Heaven.

Christians - Like us (Jews).

But exactly how is the temple going to be rebuilt with the mosque standing in the way? I agree that every religion has a spiritual right to the place but there are differences and arguments from every side that pose problems...

Question : Are the tunnels below the Wall still open?

1. I believe in the freedome of religion. Yes we should all have our most holiest sites in the Temple Mount together, all the three monotheistic religions. I don't know what to do with it, and it's not my job to figure it out.

2. Yes, the tunnels are still open. In fact, I just visited them last week.
