Google about them & financial frauds and enjoy an amazing adventure. Also, have you ever been to a Pentecostal church? We're talking about some wild stupid shit over there. I mean, it's ok for anybody to believe whatever they want to as long as they don't force it on others but smacking old people around to "heal" them is ridiculous at it's best and of course, claiming that it's real, is fraud

They're called satanists, and it's alot of bad shit. Older people tell me that here in Athens they had a problem with a Satanist group. They would dress like polic officers, stop you on the road during the night and tell you that "we have to take you to the station to ask you some questions", and instead they would take you to some place and sacrifice you to the devil. I've also heard of a hotel in Parnitha which has now been shut-down that did similar shit.

JP Morgan/Chase...

Perhaps the only supposedly BIG SCARY BANK who's actually been nice to me... Considering that this local branch bank (who has a website, radio adverts, and several other ironies on them that IMO makes them just as greedy) says that all they care about is MONEY to the point it's the only word in their vocabulary... Nevermind the fact that me, a person who's done banking with several different kinds of banks, knows that any bank can become your worse nightmare by you simply not being smart with your money and falling for too many of the offers the bank gives out...

Of course, I'm supposedly a descendant of Brigham Young... So there could be a problem here...

No problem, because I'm what I like to call an "Average-Joe" Mormon.

Sure, I pray before I eat or sleep, but I'm just like everyone else, because I'M NOT A GODDAMN ROBOT.

Also, I love coffee, dammit. >>;;

So as you can tell, unlike most of my religion, I'm open-minded.

A good question here is whether or not we have the right to just deem a belief system as 'wrong' or 'fraudulent'. I can safely say at least that I consider Stanism to be somewhat infantile in the followers it attracts. I think Scientology needs to be held to account for its outright bullying of its members and consider its hiding behind a legion of lawyers to be in EXTREMELY poor taste. And really, having studied the formation of Mormonism, I was calling bullsh!t from the word go...

But these are people's beliefs. I know that if someone started tearing at the philosophy I hold as my belief, I'd be very upset. People have a right to consider my beliefs incorrect, but what gives anyone the right to preach at me that I'm wrong? This goes both ways however; both atheists and theists need to learn to respect the other groups' beliefs. At the end of the day, that's what really matters, more than the particulars of our beliefs; how we act towards others, regardless of who they are.

Sc1r0n In reply to LoZCollector [2011-08-06 05:52:58 +0000 UTC]

Everybody has the right to be upset, I agree with you. But just being upset doesn't mean anything. If people are true believers, they shouldn't be bothered by anything. For example, when you trully, and I mean trully, believe in God and in a certain religion, you must be 100% sure that you are right, so there's nothing to worry about and nothing to be mad about.

I have spoken with priests, pastors, etc. People that "represent" their religions. You know what I've noticed? The oldest of them, and the most "respected", where the ones I had the most fun talking to. They trully understood their religion, they understood they way I was seeing things, and more than that, they laughed when I was throwing random jokes about their religion (and some of them throw some jokes back to me ).

Here in deviantART (and not only here) I see mostly people that try to "defend" their religions like I've offended them. Offence is something taken, not given.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

LoZCollector In reply to Sc1r0n [2011-08-06 09:03:17 +0000 UTC]

I repectfully disagree that offence is taken, not given. Although true to a certain degree, it does not exucse disrespectful behaviour. Further, I think it's only to be respected that the more experienced priests would be able to better discuss their religion; there is, after all, no fanaticism like the fanaticism of a fresh convert.

Really, my point is this: What right have we, to go up to any person, Catholic, Protestant, Muslim, Bhuddist, Satanist, Mormon, Sihk, Hindu, Shintoist, or ANY world religion and tell them that their beliefs are a lie and that they are wrong? That makes us as bad as the likes of Jack Chick. *spits a bad taste from my mouth* The whole idea of a religion is to explain the unexplainable and while I personally believe, for instance, scientific theories on the creation of the universe, that's all they are; just theories. We cannot concretely prove them, we can just present mountains of supporting evidence. And besides... Do we truly know what caused the Big Bang in the first place? Why couldn't it be some divine force that got the ball rolling, as it were?

Okay, I've rambled long enough now, but do you see my point? Believe whatever you want, but treat others' beliefs with respect.

Sc1r0n In reply to LoZCollector [2011-08-06 10:28:43 +0000 UTC]

The fact is that nobody knows the truth and most possibly we will never learn the truth, so we might as well live along with each other. Of course, I have no problem with that. It's only reasonable for a person to believe what they want to believe and if that makes them happy and give them purpose in life, that's fine.

But you see, Religions have lost their purpose (let's not mix beliefs with Religions). Most of them are people hearding money making machines. They are handled exactly like corporations (that's the point of choose your Gods 1 & 2). As I've said to another person who made a comment similar to yours, I have nothing with the people that believe them, but I have much to say about the people that represent those religions.

You see, in my first " Choose your Gods ", I was a bit careless and I put up beliefs mixed with religions and I humbly admited to my mistake. Here, in the second version we have what I call the "worst of them all", why respect them? Again, it's nothing personal to the people that believe, it's all about the people that represent them.

I love Tom Cruise
