What weight leather do you recommend for the parts?

I don't choose leather by weight (especially in oz, as I live in Europe and I'm a completely metric person). I consider thickness in millimeters and stiffness. The leather for this design of a dollie shoes should be as thin as possible, and soft. I should say the softness is more important here, and the thickness should be not more than 1 mm.
